This is the debut album for the Smiths which was released in 1984. They released 3 singles before the album though... Those singles were... "Hand In Glove", "This Charming Man" and "What Difference Does It Make?"
2. Have you seen the film, "24 Hour Party People"? The next few questions are about bands that are related to that film. Happy Mondays... Which one of these was the debut single?

Answer: Delightful

"Delightful" was released in 1985 as their first single. It had 3 songs the they sounded a lot like New Order. "Freaky Dancing" was their second single which sounds a lot more like their later stuff.

This album was released in 1979. They actually formed in 1977 after Mark E. Smiths was rejected from a heavy metal band to be a singer. It took them 2 years to find the right people and finally put together an album. Since then, they have been recording constantly.
