Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What song do the lyrics: "Then they put Jesus in show business, now it's hard to get through the door" come from?

Answer: If God Will Send His Angels

This song was released in December of 1997. It was featured on their album "Pop" and "The City of Angels" soundtrack.
2. What song do the lyrics: "We need the rain to wash away our bad luck" come from?

Answer: Electrical Storm

This song was released as a single in October of 2002. The song is about a couple in a room, feeling a storm brewing in the sky outside and U2 equates that to the pressure they feel in their relationship.
3. What song do the lyrics" "But they want their money back, if you're alive at 33" come from?

Answer: Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me , Kill Me

This song was released in June of 1995 on the "Batman Forever" soundtrack. This apparently is the story; Bono is just like Bruce Wayne because they are both constantly play acting. Example, Is Bono the Fly? Anyways, reality seems to veer with perspective. So the song holds up equally well as a U2 track as a theme for a movie.
4. What song do the lyrics: "A man melts the sand so he see the world outside" come from?

Answer: Lemon

This song was released off of their "Zooropa" album in September of 1993. The title is said to come from Bono watching footage of his parents and that his mother was wearing the colour lemon.
5. What song do the lyrics: "Is this love out of fashion or is it the time of year" come from?

Answer: Two Hearts Beat As One

This song was off of their album "War" and was released in March of 1983. Bono wrote this song while on his honeymoon.
6. What song do the lyrics: "I know I got black eyes, but they burn so brightly for her" come from?

Answer: The Sweetest Thing

You can find this song on "The Best of 1980-1990 The B Sides". It was released in October of 1998 and is actually the B-side to "Where the Streets Have No Name". Now, here's the story! This song was originally recorded in September of 1988 and was supposed to be released on "The Joshua Tree". Bono wrote it for his wife Ali as a birthday present because he was in the studio and missed her birthday. Anyway, it wasn't released on that album because everyone believed that "The Sweetest Thing" belonged to Ali.

The only reason they did end up releasing the song is because Ali said "I want to be in the video and I want you to donate the money that is made off of it to a charity". So, it was agreed and the song was released!
7. What song do the lyrics" "She was as pale as the lace on her wedding gown" come from?

8. What song do the lyrics: "And gold is the reason for the wars we rage" come from?

Answer: New Year's Day
