"Fun, Fun, Fun" was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love after visiting a radio station in Utah and hearing Shirley English the daughter of the station owner telling how she had gotten in trouble after borrowing her fathers Thunderbird. Apparently she had told him she was going to the library but instead went to a hamburger stand.
2. In the John Hiatt song "My Thunderbird" what kind of car does he sing his daddy drove?

Answer: DeSoto

From John Hiatt's 2005 release "Master of Disaster", his eighteenth album. DeSoto was marketed by Chrysler from 1928 to 1961.

Answer: The Batmobile

From Marc Cohn's self titled debut album, released in 1991, "Silver Thunderbird" reached #63 on the "Billboard Top 100". The Batmobile of course was built by George Barris, using the Lincoln Futura show car. It was compared to a rocket ship in Motor Life magazine in April of 1955.
