Rocket Man, originally from 1972, remains one of Elton John's most famous songs.

US President Trump used the term 'Little Rocket Man' for North Korean President Kim Jong-un.
3. In 'You're so Vain' by Carly Simon, what did the boyfriend take to see a total eclipse of the sun?

Yup - "And then he flew his Learjet up to Nova Scotia to see the total eclipse of the sun".
You're allowed to hum along too.
4. Who actually wrote the song 'Leaving on a Jet Plane' sung first by Peter, Paul and Mary?

Took me a while to figure that out. This song came out in 1974 on the album 'Band on the Run'.

It is rumored that the name Jet came from Paul's jet black labrador.

Answer: Capsule

Major Tom actually called it a tin can.
Mercury was the name of the first American spaceship program.

Answer: Helicopters

Helicopters were often used in Vietnam for getting wounded soldiers out of danger and to receive the medical care they needed. Cash sang of the helicopters (and I imagine their crew) who risked their lives to retrieve the wounded.
"And the helicopters brought in the wounded men
Night after night; day after day".
9. "Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines" was the theme song for a movie with the same name.

Subtitled 'How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 Hours 11 Minutes' this comedy first hit the screen in 1965.
10. Barbara Mandrell sang the song 'The Letter' in 1972. Who first recorded this song five years earlier, about needing to get on an airplane cuz they "ain't got time for a fast train"?
