Tracy Morrow's early life was one of turmoil. He lost both his parents at a young age and was raised by his aunt in Los Angeles. His musical career began shortly after he came home from the army in the 1980s. Gangs and violence gave him a sense of belonging. Ice-T's album "O.G Original Gangster" influenced the development of gangster rap.

He had several groundbreaking singles and albums that drew attention. He also performed with bands such as Black Sabbath and Slayer. He was one of the first artists to push the boundaries with explicit lyrics, language, and heavy metal incorporated into his rap.

Many of his songs had a social commentary dealing with events happening at the time. One of the most controversial songs in his early musical career was "Cop Killer", inciting violence against the police.

His life changed when one of his friends took his two-year prison sentence so he could pursue his rap talent. Although Tracy drifted, it was enough to push him in a different direction. Eventually, Tracy Morrow's viewpoint changed.

When he began a career acting, he used his work on crime series, such as "Law & Order SVU", to bring attention to gangs and violence. He also tried to help teens in his neighborhood. In his recent songs, he toned down the messages against police.

He released his first solo album " AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted" in 1990, which was an instant success. It was soon followed up by his second solo album "Death Certificate" in 1991, and "The Predator" in 1992. "The Predator" was his first number one album on R&B and pop song charts. His work was well received by many fans but was also widely criticized by people who believed it was antisemitic content. After his third album, praise for his work drifted off. His fourth album "Lethal Injection", did not have the audience response of his previous works.

Ice Cube has made a career in various other fields including television. He has acted in over forty films. He has also been a producer and writer. He has also continued to mentor other musicians in the rap industry.

House Phone Shawty is also known as "Lil House Phone". His real name is Demonte Hoilett. He grew up in Hawthorne, California, a city on the southwest side of Los Angeles. Demonte developed a love for skateboarding and music from a young age.

Many of Demonte's songs center around the telephone. One of the first songs he wrote was "Dial Tone" in 2016. The EP "Voicemails" in 2017, gave House Phone the musical breakthrough that brought him fame. Two of his noted songs are "Tokyo Goons" and "Trappin' Off The House Phone".

DJ Mustard, also known as Dijon Isaiah McFarlane, began getting into music at the age of 11. His stage name was a pun he created as a child on his real name "Dijon". His first collection under his own name was a mix-tape titled "Ketchup" in 2013. It was followed by his first album "Ten Summers" which rose to the number 20 on Billboard top 200. Fans quickly fell in love with his upbeat party style of singing.

Since his first album, Mustard's talents have grown from a singer to an executive music producer. DJ Mustard has received numerous awards for being a songwriter, producer, and performer. He signed her on to his company "Street Knowledge" and became her mentor. Yo-Yo performed with Ice Cube on several of his projects before making projects of her own.

"Make Way for the Motherlode" became one of Yo-Yo's first recognized albums. Rolling Stone magazine noted the album for its pro-female agenda. Yo-Yo had a talent for rhyme styles and role play in her songs. She frequently paired up with other rap music artists for performances. She was nominated for a Grammy for "Best Rhythm & Blues Vocal Performance for Duo or Group" for the song "Stomp" in 1996.
