Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Neal Doughty....Alan Gratzer....Gregg Philbin....Gary Richrath

Answer: REO Speedwagon

Kevin Cronin has sung lead on most of REO's albums. However, Mike Murphy took over vocal duties on three succesive albums including 1974's "Riding The Storm Out". The title track gets the vote for my favorite REO Speedwagon song.
2. John Densmore....Robbie Krieger....Ray Manzarek

Answer: The Doors

Jim Morrison was the singer/poet for The Doors until he died in 1971. John Densmore played drums, Ray Manzarek keyboards, Robbie Krieger guitar.
3. Lee Loughnane....James Pankow....Walter Parazaider.... Danny Seraphine

Answer: Chicago

Robert Lamm, Peter Cetera, and to a lesser extent guitarist Terry Kath shared the microphone for Chicago. Jason Scheff replaced Peter Cetera and went on to score a few more hits. Terry Kath had to give up singing after he accidentally killed himself in 1978.
4. Geezer Butler....Tony Iommi....Bill Ward

Answer: Black Sabbath

Ozzy Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio, Ian Gillan, Dave Donato, Glenn Hughes, and Tony Martin have all recorded lead vocals for Black Sabbath (This does not include the singers who toured only). Several of which left and came back again. Kind of makes your head spin, doesn't it?
5. Victor DeLorenzo....Brian Ritchie

Answer: Violent Femmes

If you've never heard the Violent Femmes check out their self-titled 1983 debut album. Brian Ritchie plays bass while DeLorenzo handles the percussion. Oh yeah, Gordon Gano is the Femmes' lead singer and guitarist.
6. Brian Jones...Ron Wood....Bill Wyman....

Answer: The Rolling Stones

Mick Jagger has sung the bulk of the songs while Keith Richards sung on his fair share. The Rolling Stones have definitely had their ups and downs but are still going strong since forming in 1962.
7. Chris Franz....Jerry Harrison....Tina Weymouth

Answer: Talking Heads

David Byrne sang lead, Franz played drums, Weymouth on bass, and Harrison performed keyboard duties on such quirky songs as "Psycho Killer" "Once In A Lifetime" "Burning Down The House" and "Nothing But Flowers".
8. Eddie Gray....Peter Lucia....Ron Rosman....Mike Vale

Answer: Tommy James & The Shondells

Tommy James was the lead singer, of course. Tommy James & The Shondells scored with 14 Top 40 hits in the U.S. from 1966 to 1969. Rounding out the group were Eddie Gray on guitar, Peter Lucia on drums, and Ron Rosman on keyboards.
9. Stephen Bladd...."Magic Dick"....Seth Justman....Danny Klein

Answer: J. Geils Band

Peter Wolf and J. Geils were the vocalist and guitarist, respectfully for this frequently under-rated band. Seth Justman was part of the creative force of this band, as well as the keyboard player. Stephen Bladd drums, Danny Klein, and "Magic Dick" on the oft-featured harmonica.
10. Ritchie Blackmore....Roger Glover....Jon Lord....Ian Paice

Answer: Deep Purple

Ian Gillan sang lead vocals in the "classic" lineup of this hard rock outfit. There have been several lead singers, and side projects for the members of Deep Purple.
