Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What sport would you be watching if you attended a Las Vegas Aces game at the Mandalay Bay Events Center?

Answer: Basketball

The Las Vegas Aces are members of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Founded in 1997, the team was known as the Utah Starzz and then the San Antonio Silver Stars before moving to Nevada in 2018. In 2019, the Aces made it to the playoff semi-finals where they lost to the Washington Mystics.

Answer: Davis Cup

Andre Agassi was born in Las Vegas in 1970 and turned pro aged just 16. The "career golden slam" entails winning all four grand slam events (Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and US Open) plus an Olympic gold medal. In 1999, having already won the other three slams plus an Olympic title at Atlanta '96, Agassi won the French Open to complete the slam, defeating Andriy Medvedev in the final in Paris.

The Davis Cup is a men's team event which is not considered part of this quintet, although Agassi has also been on a winning team in that event.

The following year, he won Wimbledon, again defeating Brown in the final, and then successfully defended his US title with a five-set win over Frank Parker. He turned professional shortly afterwards, which excluded him from playing any of the strictly amateur slams in the future.

Answer: Right Field
