In Rugby League a try is worth 4 points, conversions & penalty goals are worth 2 points, and drop goals are worth 1 point.
2. My uncle used to play the position of No.8 in Rugby. What Rugby code was he playing in?

Answer: Rugby Union

The number 8 in Rugby Union packs down at the back of the scrum, between the two locks, and is responsible for the crucial role of providing the scrum-half with good ball from the base of the scrum. The number 8 in Rugby League is the other Prop Forward (Number 10 is a prop).

Meanwhile, in Rugby League, a 40-20 kick is when the attacking team is inside thier own 40m line and kicks it past the oppositions 20m line, Penalty tries are quite rare, they occur when a player is taken out of play while they are over the try line and they are certain to score.

This last happened in the 1999 NRL Grand Final. And scrums are in both League and Union.
