There are several reports that claim that the two were sponsored by a local taxi driver, Bob Davis, who would drive them around to various halls to play. Meo was also one of the snooker players to be included in the Chas and Dave single, "Snooker Loopy". Meo retired from professional play in 1997.

Answer: He became the youngest winner

Several sources state that this championship was won at age 18, but the program for the event says that he was 17 at the time. The program also stated he was the favorite to win. The last line of his bio reads: "He has in excess of 300 century breaks to his credit, highest 141".
