Answer: Joe Carter

Carter of the Toronto Blue Jays hit his against the Phillies in game six of the 1993 World Series. Mitch Williams dished up the pitch, and Toronto won the series four games to two.
2. From 1949-1953, the New York Yankees won five consecutive World Series. Who took the WS crown in 1954?

Answer: New York Giants

In 1954, the Yankees finished eight games back behind the Indians who won 111 games in the season. The Indians fell apart in the World Series, losing to the Giants four games to none.
3. Who was the first pitcher to appear in all seven games of a World Series?

Answer: Darold Knowles

The others appeared in five games in one World Series. In the first 100 World Series, Knowles of the Oakland Athletics was the only pitcher to achieve this. His feat was seen in 1973 against the Mets. Darold pitched only 6.3 innings in the series and was credited with two saves. Oakland won the series, four games to three.
