Eddie, played by Jay Thomas, died when he was hit by a zamboni ice machine saving someone else's life. This is rather hilarious when they go to the funeral and Carla learns that Eddie was also married to a woman named Gloria, and she had twins by him as well.

The man whoose life Eddie saved comes to the bar to give Carla a note, he's very grateful to Eddie for saving his life, though he says "He hurt my thumb, he didn't have to push me so hard."

Answer: Chuckles the Clown

In the episode called "Chuckles Bites the Dust," Chuckles the Clown is killed when he is dressed as an peanut and an elephant crushes him. Throughout the show everyone keeps laughing finding his death ironic and Mary is bothered that they're so cold they can laugh at the fact he was killed by an elephant.

At the funeral however, Mary sees the irony and can't control her laughter. The minister at the funeral says Chuckles would want them to laugh, and encourages her to keep laughing. At this point, Mary starts to sob. Chuckles famous line was "A little song, a little dance, a little seltzer down your pants."

Papouli was Jesse's grandfather from Greece. He came to visit, and while he was there he taught Michelle a Greek dance. He was supposed to go to her school to show the class the dance as well. Unfortunatly, he died in his sleep one night. Michelle is very sad, but was told by Stephanie she can't cry because it will make Jesse even sadder. Later, Michelle talks to Jesse and learns that it's okay to feel sad, and to cry when you lose a person you love.

This was a wonderful episode, especially since it involves talking to a young child about death.

This is one of the few episodes of "M.A.S.H" I have seen, and both times I saw it, it made me cry. Radar reads the report: "Lt. Col. Blake's plane shot down over the Sea of Japan. It spun out of control. There were no survivors."

Phil was Sophia's son who liked to wear woman's clothing. This is a touching episode. Sophia has always felt like a bad mother as far as Phil went, because she blamed herself for the fact he was a cross-dresser. We find out this is why she hates his wife so much, she wanted his wife to make him a normal man and even after the marriage, he was still cross dressing.

However, Sophia learns from the girls that she wasn't a bad mother, and Phil wasn't a bad person either, he was just different from the norm.

This is another episode that has made me cry. What can I say, I'm a sensitive person. Greg was Alex's best friend. His friend was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver. Alex feels guilty because Greg asked him to go on the trip, but Alex was too busy. This guilt causes Alex to think about the meaning of life.

Susan was George's fiancée. She died licking the envelopes. The glue in such great quantities was poisonous. George wasn't too upset about her death, because he wanted to get out of the marriage.

If you picked Steven's mother, it was his father, not his mother who died. The answer was Aunt Trudy. Mallory was very close to her aunt, so this death was very hard on her.

Ned Vanderkellen was Stephanie's uncle. He died of natural causes on his 100th birthday.
