Answer: False

Lou left Heartland when she did her MBA in New York in the USA. She then remained in New York as she climbed the corporate ladder in Mr. Strickland's company, where she was well thought of and had a boyfriend. Ashley Stanton in the first season appears to be a spoilt brat who relies heavily on her wealthy mother, Val's pocket. Ashley has grown up at Briar Ridge with too many people at her disposal for her own good. Apollo was bought for her as a showjumping horse for her to compete on, Ashley has some problems with him and brings him to Amy for fixing. Val sells Apollo once Ashley decides to try her hand at rodeo. Apollo ends up at Heartland after he is mistreated by horse dealers and Ashley is heartbroken to find the only horse she ever had a connection with in such a state.

Lou, at first, hates the idea that people think her idea is awful. She sees later on that the concept she has is the exact same thing as a dude ranch, so she comes to terms with it. The dude ranch takes off when Lou invites her old New York friends to try it out, along with the two travel bloggers who show up a week early.

The ranching community are dealing with cattle rustlers who are periodically stealing large numbers of cattle. The rustlers aim to fire at Amy but to save her Tim jumps in front of the gun and is shot in the shoulder, an injury that he complains about regularly.
7. Ty's stepfather, Wade, was the reason Ty got hauled away by the police. He was a drunkard, a gambler and violent. When he arrives in Heartland he rigs a horse race featuring Tim's new horse by making sure he wouldn't win. He put ____ in the horse's stall.

Answer: salt

Lightning Dexter was the favourite to win the race against Lisa Stillman's horse Alberta Comet. So that he would win more money, Wade ensured that Alberta Comet would beat the favourite. He put salt in the horse's stall which meant that Dexter had to drink more. The water then stayed in his stomach, so he came in last.
8. Which actor plays Chase Powers, the contestant from the Ring of Fire competition that Amy wins, who becomes a love interest of Amy's and Soraya's?

Answer: Torrance Coombs

Torrance Coombs is also known for playing Thomas Culpepper in the HBO drama series "The Tudors", his co-star Allen Leech played Francis Dereham, who was historically executed for the same crime as Culpepper - committing adultery with Queen Catherine Howard. Graham Wardle plays Ty Borden in "Heartland" and Gabriel Hogan plays P.W. (Peter) Morris, who becomes Lou's husband.
9. In season 4, episode 4, Amy misses her graduation ceremony.

Answer: False

After receiving an offer for a full scholarship to a top equine programme, Amy has significant doubts as to what her future holds for her. When Spartan is taken ill with serious colic, she is determined to remain with her beloved horse, despite Ty's protests. However, Mallory and Badger arrive in time for Ty to drive her onto the stage on his motorbike to receive her diploma.
10. In order to make Amy happy and to impress her, Ty and Chase Powers get involved in a bet to make an offer for Lightning Dexter in a claiming race. They gamble over who will win in a pool game, but how much money do they stake?

Answer: $5000

When Tim and Janice decide to put the horse in a claiming race, which entails that they do not know anything about the buyer, Amy is distraught. Chase, who owns a fortune offers the claiming race price of $5000 to impress her. Ty, who is poor compared to him, does the same because he cannot bear the thought of Amy being indebted to Chase, but for him, it means laying down the money he had saved up for school. Ty, well aware he is a better pool player than Chase bets him $5000 for the chance to buy back Dexter for Amy.

In the end, Tim changes his mind, but Ty wins the amount of money.
