1. The hospital in which series 1 is set is based in which fictional district?

Answer: East Hampton

This is a purely fictional district in southern England, although I believed it to be real until I read up about "Green Wing" online!

2. When we are introduced to the new 'doc on the block', Caroline Todd, whose house is she trying to get into?

Answer: Her brother's

Caroline has to go into her first day at work having spent the night in her car. Not the best idea for a surgeon! She spends the following evening at Guy Secretan's flat.

3. When Angela moves in as Caroline's new lodger, it emerges that she plays what instrument to an almost professional standard?

Answer: Harp

The seemingly perfct Anglea infuriates Caroline once more, as angelic musical notes flow down from the upper floor. Caroline puts on a CD of flute music to make Angela believe that she too is gifted musically.

4. What kind of yoghurt does Dr. Martin Dear persistently have stolen from the staff room?

Answer: Fruits of the Forest

Martin, who has been trying to qualify as a 'proper doctor' for years can't decide how formal a note he needs to leave the cleaners, to try and keep his yoghurts in the fridge.

The office girls - Kim, Rachel, Harriet and Karen - buy balloons for 30th, 40th and 50th birthdays. Joanna proceeds to pop the one for the 50th as she is offended by it.

Answer: False

Mac goes international and describes himself as 'fraise-blond'. Fraise is French for strawberry. He constantly finds himself ridiculed by Guy for having red hair, but the ladies seem to like him!

She kisses Guy in the doorway, Sue White when she is leaving and Martin as he is leaving. She has his first amazing kiss with Mac after she's just been sick in the bathroom. I think the chemistry between the two actors, Tamsin Greig and Julian Rhind-Tutt is incredible.

Sue White is indeed a strange character. She also has a rather strange obsession with Dr. Macartney. But Mac is sensible and keeps his distance.

Answer: 30p

Dr. Statham has dressed up as a Roman for the occasion, and seems very put out that the demand for him isn't higher. Boyce, however, is keen on making the most from his invested 50 pence, and the pair have a bit too much to drink.

Guy's adoptive father is Swiss, whilst Martin's father, Donald Twatt, is a newsagent. He is glad that his mother decided to make up a surname for him,although the name 'Dear' has blighted his whole life!
