It is Bud's 18th birthday and Peggy is planning a party for him as if he was a small child. She hires a clown and invites the Darcys since Bud doesn't have any friends. Miserable, Bud is overjoyed when Al takes him to the strip club where he gets into his first bar fight.

Steve returns to Chicago in the hopes of winning back Marcy. He is also on the lam because he stole a rare egg from the national park he worked at as a ranger. The Bundys neglect to tell him that Marcy has remarried and watch gleefully as Steve walks in on Marcy and Jefferson in bed. Meanwhile, the FBI is hunting Steve down and offer the Bundys a huge reward for information.

Answer: Peggy's mystery package

Kelly and Bud win a contest to have the band Anthrax play at their house party. They trick Al and Peggy into going away on a vacation to Florida that is really just a ploy to sell them a time share. A blizzard prevents Kelly and Bud's party from happening and traps Anthrax with them in the Bundy House. Desperate for food, Anthrax eats Peggy's mystery package and being hallucinating.

Al and Jefferson begin a get rich quick scheme where they pretend to be psychics over the phone and give people alleged lucky numbers, colors etc. The scam works and Peggy, Kelly and Bud join in. However, the draw the ire of a real psychic who threatens to put a curse on Al and his family.

Answer: A workbench

Bud is upset when he is denied entrance to Alpha, a group for smart people. He is confused when Kelly receives an invitation to Alpha's mixer. Bud learns the party is actually a pig party where members of Alpha have a contest to bring the dumbest guest they can find. Meanwhile, Al and Jefferson struggle to build a simple workbench even while using the directions. Kelly feels dejected after learning the truth about Alpha's party but outsmarts Al when she quickly builds the workbench.

Answer: Ms. McGowan

Bud and his substitute English teacher Ms. McGowan have a brief fling. The Bundys think Bud is making up the story and he thinks Ms. McGowan is in love with him. However, she runs off another student. Meanwhile, Al begins a habit of sneaking into kids' parties at Chuck E. Cheese to get free pizza.

Answer: The Verminator

Kelly gets a job at a television theme park when her modeling school closes. She hates the job and the many rude customers who take advantage of her (including Bud and the Darcys). Kelly is offered a promotion to play the role of the Verminator, a superhero who uses poison to exterminate pests. Kelly would go on to play the Verminator many times throughout the remaining of the show's run.

Al decides to treat his family to Bundy Sunday Fun Day at the full service station at the gas station. However, Al only has enough money for the full service and not for all the snacks Peggy and the kids buy at the convenience store. Al is forced to work at the gas station to pay off his debts.

Answer: The town is covered in perpetual darkness

In the first of a three part episode, the Bundys are tricked into traveling to England. They believe they won a contest but in reality Al and Bud are being targeting by the residents of Lower Uncton who want to kill them. Lower Uncton has been under a curse for hundreds of years because one of Al's ancestors insulted a witch. The witch's curse plunged Lower Uncton into perpetual darkness until every male Bundy is dead. Al and Bud are apparently the only male Bundys left alive (something proved incorrect in other episodes).

The residents of Lower Uncton, led by Winston and Igor, must kill Al and Bud in Lower Uncton to break the curse. Meanwhile, the residents of Upper Uncton want Winston and Igor to fail because Upper Uncton makes money because Lower Uncton is in darkness.

Marcy and Jefferson are also in England with the Bundys. However, they get separated from the Bundys in London and are left to their own devices without money and luggage.

Answer: Kelly

After the Bundys spend the day spending as much of Lower Uncton's money as possible in London, Winston and Igor finally convince them to go to Lower Uncton. However, Kelly wants to stay in London and remains behind. At a night club, Kelly is told by a man that Al and Bud are in trouble and will die if they go to Lower Uncton.

He tells her to bring them to Upper Uncton for safety. However, the man is actually Mayor Trevor of Upper Uncton who wants Al and Bud brought to his town so he can kill them outside of Lower Uncton.
