Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Where does "everybody know your name"?

Answer: Cheers

"Cheers" ran from 1982 to 1993 and took place in a Boston bar called Cheers Beacon Hill. It helped to launch the career of, among other people, Woody Harrelson, who showed up at the beginning of season four and was hired by Sam Malone, the bar owner. Woody played a character named Woody Boyd, who was naive and simple but good-natured. Both Woodys shared the same birthday, July 23 and Woody Boyd is from Hanover, Indiana, which is where Woody Harrelson went to college. Harrelson was nominated five times for an Emmy Award and won once for this character.

There have been many memorable characters and a spinoff from "Cheers" - Frasier Crane the psychiatrist who was introduced as barmaid Diane's love interest got his own show called "Frasier." The theme song for the show is called "Where Everybody Knows Your Name."
2. All of these are enemies that the Doctor has battled in the British sci-fi show "Doctor Who" EXCEPT which one?

Answer: Wampas

The Time Lord known as the Doctor has had some pretty terrifying enemies. Wampas are actually monsters from the "Star Wars" universe. The Daleks are known for "exterminating" anything in their path, Cybermen are cyborgs who capture human beings to turn them into more cyborgs. Weeping angels are, in my opinion, more terrifying than any other enemy.

They are statues of angels that move closer to a person every time they blink so in order to defeat them, you can't look away! If they get close enough to touch you, they whisk you off to another time period that you can't return from. "Doctor Who" has run on BBC since 1963 and tells all the adventures of the Doctor, who is an alien being who looks like a human, as he travels around the universe saving Earth from various attacks.

The show is able to continue with different actors throughout the decades because the Doctor has the ability to regenerate into a completely different looking person. Cool concept to keep the show going!
3. In the episode of "Friends" where Ross and Rachel break up, Rachel decides to order pizza. What ingredient does Ross ask her not to get on that pizza?

Answer: Anchovies

In this episode of "Friends" Rachel discovers that Ross cheated on her while they were taking a break in their relationship and she is of course very upset. At one point during their arguing, Rachel decides to order a pizza and Ross asks if he can also have some but asks for no anchovies. When Rachel orders, she asks for extra anchovies and when Ross mentions that he can just pick them off, she asks for them to be cut up and mixed in the sauce. It's pretty funny.
4. The spooky show "The X-Files" changed locations partway through the series. It started out being shot in Vancouver, Canada, and moved where in season six?

Answer: Los Angeles

"The X-Files" appealed to fans of sci-fi, drama, mystery and conspiracy theories. It revolved around a department of the FBI that investigated the paranormal and the two main characters, Agent Fox Mulder and Agent Dana Scully were played by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson.

The chemistry between the two main characters contributed to the success of the show. It was shot in Vancouver, Canada for the first five seasons and the foggy, rainy atmosphere was a good fit with the themes and storylines of the show. Duchovny was allegedly unhappy about being away from his wife, actress Tea Leoni and production of the show was moved to Los Angeles for season six.

In my opinion the show was never the same after that, the sunshine of California took away from the mood and ambience of the series.
5. This actor went on to survive James Cameron's "Titanic." Who portrayed a love interest of Audrey Horne in "Twin Peaks?"

Answer: Billy Zane

Billy Zane portrays the character of John Justice "Jack" Wheeler, an all around good guy and love interest for Audrey Horne in "Twin Peaks". He was in the show for five episodes. He's perhaps best known for his portrayal of Cal Hockley, the mean-spirited fiancé of Rose Bukater in the 1997 blockbuster "Titanic." He's acted in many movies including "Tombstone", "Memphis Belle", "Dead Calm" and "The Believer." He's acted on TV quite a bit and even forayed into music videos, including in "The Dope Show" by Marilyn Manson and "Rock n Roll" by Avril Lavigne.
6. In the episode of "Community" where Troy, played by Donald Glover, leaves, what is written on the boat?

Answer: Childish Tycoon

Donald Glover was on the first four seasons of "Community" and left the show after five episodes of season five. He plays the former high school football star Troy who develops a close relationship with Abed on the show. Before "Community", Glover wrote for "30 Rock" from 2006 to 2009 and after "Community" Glover wrote and starred in the series "Atlanta", a show about a rapper in the Atlanta rap scene. Outside of TV, Glover has a successful music career, going by the stage name "Childish Gambino".

His song "Redbone" earned him a Grammy Award. "This is America" earned him four Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Rap/Sung Performance and Best Music Video. He's also acted in the movies, starring as a young Lando Calrissian in "Solo: A Star Wars Story" and lent his voice to Simba in the 2019 version of "The Lion King."
7. In "Seinfeld" what word does the pediatrician use to describe the baby that Jerry and Elaine think is really ugly?

Answer: Breathtaking

Julia-Louis Dreyfus is such a funny actress and talented comedienne and stars as Elaine in the TV show "Seinfeld." In this particular episode, main character Jerry and Elaine meet their friends new baby for the first time and apparently the baby is really ugly.

They discuss how this is a "must lie" situation and call the baby gorgeous in front of the parents but acknowledge how ugly the baby actually is. While visiting the baby, Elaine meets a pediatrician who calls her breathtaking and she is of course flattered until she hears him also call the ugly baby breathtaking too.
8. In season three of "Cobra Kai", Johnny decides to start his own karate school and comes up with what name?

Answer: Eagle Fang

"Cobra Kai" is a television series based on the very popular 80s movie "Karate Kid." The TV series takes place decades later with the two main characters, Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso now adults. The TV show turns the tables on who is the 'bad guy' and who to cheer for and introduces a whole new generation of teenage karate kids. In season three, Johnny Lawrence starts his own karate school and names it Eagle Fang, he has t-shirts made up with an eagle with fangs on it and one of his teenage students has to tell him that eagles don't actually have fangs.
9. The American version of "The Office" owes its success to Ricky Gervais, who developed the show and the idea for the ridiculous office manager. Does US manager Michael Scott ever meet UK manager David Brent?

Answer: Yes

In season seven of "The Office", David Brent (played by Ricky Gervais) from the British version of the show is in Scranton and just happens to bump into US manager Michael Scott (played by Steve Carell). The interaction between the two is hilarious and they engage in inappropriate and politically incorrect joking.

At one point, Michael Scott hugs David Brent who has made a "that's what she said joke." It is not explained why David Brent is in Scranton. David Brent appears again in the episode where the staff are interviewing for a new manager, he interviews over video call and does not get the job.
10. In "Mr. Robot," what illegal activity does Elliot do in his spare time?

Answer: Hacker

"Mr. Robot" is a brilliant four season TV show that, in my opinion, had a perfect run. It was not cancelled or cut short but had the opportunity to play out the story perfectly through the four seasons. Rami Malek portrays Elliot Anderson, a troubled but brilliant young man who is a mastermind hacker outside of his day job who gets entwined in a plot to destroy a large evil conglomerate and re-set society.

The show and its actors were nominated for and won numerous awards, including Satellite Awards, Critics Choice Television Awards, Golden Globe Awards, American Film Institute Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards and Peabody Awards.
