Over its first seventeen seasons, "American Dad" has had 303 episodes. The series focuses on the Smith family of Langley Falls, Virginia. "American Dad" uses fewer cutaway gags than "Family Guy", another series also created by Seth MacFarlane. The series also has a greater focus on political issues.

Series creator Seth MacFarlane sings the them song "Good Morning USA!". An instrumental version of the song, written by Walter Murphy, is used for the end credits.
2. "George Lopez" (2002-2007)

"George Lopez", which starred comedian George Lopez, ran for six seasons and 120 episodes. The series focuses on a fictionalized version of Lopez. Many of the characters are family members of George, the character. The series had middling success in the ratings during its run, but has proven popular in syndication.

The theme song for "George Lopez" was "Low Rider", performed by War. Composition of the song is credited to Thomas Allen, Harold Ray Brown, Morris Dickerson, Gerald Goldstein, Lonnie Jordan, Lee Levitin, Charles Miller, and Howard E. Scott (the members of War at the time). When "Low Rider" was initially released in 1975, it was a Number Seven hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
3. "How I Met Your Mother" (2005-2014)

"How I Met Your Mother" lasted for nine seasons and 208 episodes. The premise is that main character Ted is telling his children how he met their mother, but this really serves as an opening for a long flashback about a group of friends who live and work in New York City. The character of the mother would not appear until the last episode of the eighth season.

The show's theme song "Hey, Beautiful" was performed by the Solids. The group also performed the them to another television series, "Oliver Beene".
4. "Joey" (2004-2006)

"Joey" ran for two seasons and 46 episodes. A spin-off of the the long-running series "Friends", "Joey" focuses on Joey Tribbiani who moves to Hollywood to further his career as an actor. The only character besides Joey who appeared on both "Friends" and "Joey" portrayed by the same actor was Joey's father. The series did well in the ratings during the first seasons but slipped in the second, leading to its cancellation.

The theme song to "Joey", "Sunny Hours", was performed by Long Beach Dub Allstars, featuring will.i.am.
5. "Malcolm in the Middle" (2000-2006)

Answer: Boss of Me

"Malcolm in the Middle" is the story of a highly intelligent teen who is part of a highly dysfunctional family. While early episodes mostly focus on Malcolm, later episodes focus on various members of the family. A recurring joke is that the family's last name is not mentioned in the episodes bar a few references to "nolastname".

"John Flansburgh and John Linnell wrote the theme song for "Malcolm in the Middle", "Boss of Me.". The song was performed by They Might Be Giants, who took it to Number 21 on the UK Singles Chart.
6. "Quintuplets" (2004-2005)

Lasting for one season and 22 episodes, "Quintuplets" focused on the challenges that two parents faced whose quintuplets were now teenagers. The series was set in northern New Jersey. The series focused on the challenges of a large family.

The theme song, "Suck or Shine" was written and performed by the duo of Chris and Tad. The song was originally written for "The John Report with Bob" on KIRO-TV.
7. "Reba" (2001-2007)

Answer: I'm a Survivor

"Reba" was set in the suburbs of Houston and ran for six seasons and 127 episodes. The title character faces challenges as a single mother after he divorce from her husband, who subsequently married the woman with which he had an affair. The series aired for its first five seasons on the WB and then its last on the CW (formed from the merger of the WB and UPN).

Reba McEntire performed the theme song "I'm a Survivor". It was written by Shelby Kennedy and Philip White.
8. "Rules of Engagement" (2007-2013)

Answer: How Many Ways

"Rules of Engagement" focused on the challenges of dating and relationships. It ran for seven seasons and 100 episodes. "The Island Diner" was a frequent setting of the series. The series generally received decent ratings while receiving negative reviews.

9. "Still Standing" (2002-2006)

In "Yes, Dear" two sisters and their husbands and children share the same address. The differing styles of the families often drove the plots. In its first three seasons, the series was in the Top 30 of the Nielsen ratings. The series lasted for six seasons and 127 episodes.

Bill Janovitz wrote and performed the theme song "Family is Family" for "Yes, Dear".
