8. Sitting at home in 2020 led me to watching a great American comedy. It starred Forrest Tucker, Ken Berry and Larry Storch. What is the name of the particular cavalry troop to which they belonged?

Answer: F Troop

"F Troop" ran for two seasons in the 1960s. The stars of the show portrayed the characters Sergeant O'Rourke, Captain Parmenter and Corporal Agarn. I loved the show in the 70s when I first saw it, and then again in 2020. My nickname at school was Corporal Agarn - I hope it wasn't because everyone thought I was dumb!

9. Carole Baskin, big cat conservationist, and Joe Exotic, big cat breeder, became the most talked about feud of the Summer when Netflix released which series in 2020?

Answer: Tiger King

With lockdown and quarantine happening across the world, Netflix released "Tiger King" just in time to entertain a captive audience with the ugly underbelly of big cat trading and private ownership. It was a series less about the animals than the humans; in particular, the self proclaimed 'Tiger King' Joe Exotic, whose bizarre behaviour, including his obsession and feud with the equally bewildering Carole Baskin, eventually earned him a prison sentence. Viewer discretion advised.

10. I enjoy trivia in many formats, and have been watching a game show that originated in Britain before coming to America. In what program do contestants try to defeat "The Beast"?

Answer: The Chase

While the British and Australian versions of "The Chase" have several "chasers", the US version has only Mark Labbett (whose nickname is taken both from his size-approx. 6'7", 380 pounds-and the fact that his surname sounds like the French 'la bête', which translates to "the beast"). The show is a cornucopia of fascinating information. I've been intrigued by how many of the answers I know are ones that I've learned from playing FunTrivia.
