"Pac-Man" was developed by Namco and released in 1980. One of the most iconic games of all time, it is also one of the highest grossing games of all time. The ghostly enemies in the game are named Inky (blue), Pinky (pink), Blinky (red) and Clyde (orange). Each has a distinctly different "personality" in the game.

A "perfect" score in "Pac-Man" is considered to be 3,333,360 points on level 255. After this the game crashes. The first player to achieve this, according to the Guinness Book of Records, is Billy Mitchell.

In 1999, it took him five and a half hours.

"Asteroids" was developed by Atari in 1979. A hugely popular game, it remained one of Atari's best selling games. In 2010, over a period of 58 hours, John McAllister set a record of 41,338,740 in an Internet livestream. He beat the previous record set in 1982 by Scott Safran. Universal Studios obtained the rights to adapt the game into a film in 2009.

"Donkey Kong" was developed by Nintendo in 1981. It features a large gorilla on top of a platform, throwing barrels and flaming oil drums to try and knock the player character off. Mario is the character and Kong kidnaps his girlfriend Pauline. Mario, who was eventually developed into the main character for the game "Super Mario Bros" ,needs to avoid all obstacles.

The first world record for "Donkey Kong" was set by Billy Mitchell in 1982 at 874,300. Thirty four years later in 2016, Wes Copeland extended that high score to 1,218,00 to take the world record.

Answer: Space Invaders

Developed by Taito in 1978, "Space Invaders" was one of the earliest shooting games created. A few months after releasing the game in Japan, creator Tomohiro Nishikado had already grossed over $600 million. According to Nishikado, he drew inspiration from "War of the Worlds" and "Star Wars" to create the game.

"Double Dragon" was developed by Technôs Japan and released as an arcade game in 1987. The game features twin brothers, Jimmy and Billy Lee fighting members of the Black Warriors gang. Jimmy was named for Led Zeppelin musician Jimmy Page and Billy was named for Bruce Lee's character Billy Lo in the film "Game of Death". Their last name was taken from Bruce Lee.

Russian game designer, Alexey Pajitnov, created "Tetris" and released it in 1984. The object of the game is to match the Tetriminos. As each line is completed, it disappears. There are seven geometric shapes T, I, J, L, O, S and Z which are used, each with its own colour. Players can rotate the shapes to find the best fit. "Tetris" was rated at second on IGN's "100 Greatest Video Games of All Time" in 2007.

Answer: Q*bert

"Q*bert" was developed by Gottlieb in 1982. Well known for his swear bubble and "swearing" which appears on screen when he bumps into an enemy, "Q*bert" is still a popular character, having appeared in two films in recent years. He appeared in the animated film "Wreck-It Ralph" in 2012 and in the 2015 film "Pixels" which featured many popular arcade game characters.

"Golden Axe" was developed by Sega in 1989. The game features three characters, an amazon Tyris Flare, a barbarian Ax Battler and a dwarf Gilius Thunderhead. Each uses their own special weapon (Tyris: longsword, Ax Battler: broadsword and Thunderhead: battle-ax) and are able to collect magic potions to cast individual spells to harm their enemies.

They are also able to mount magical creatures like dragons and use them as weapons.

Taito developed "Bubble Bobble" in 1986. Baron von Blubba kidnaps the girlfriends of Bubby and Blobby and takes them to the Cave of Monsters and changes the brothers into dragons able to blow bubbles. Capturing their enemies in bubbles and then popping the bubbles while moving up the screen is the object of the game.

Answer: Mortal Kombat

"Mortal Kombat" is a hugely popular fighting game which was developed by Midway games and released in 1992. The combat takes place on an island owned by Shang Tsung in Earthrealm. There are seven characters who can be chosen to face off against either the computer or a second player. Each has their own fighting style and special skills. Once an opponent has been dominated, your host will shout "Finish him!" and this gives the player an opportunity for a fatality. Sub-Zero ripping his opponent's spine out is a classic.
