Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Iudex Gundyr

Answer: Cemetery of Ash

Iudex Gundyr is the tutorial boss of the game. He is fairly simple to defeat for experienced players, and serves as a good way for newer ones to prove their basic understanding of the game. He is tremendously weak to fire and is weak to frostbite, though he cannot be poisoned.
2. Champion Gundyr

Answer: Untended Graves

Basically Iudex Gundyr but stronger, Champion Gundyr is an optional boss. Defeating him yields access to the Flameless Shrine, where the player can pick up the Coiled Sword Fragment- a helpful tool which essentially functions as an infinite Homeward Bone. Sabre Lord Swordmaster is a possible NPC Summon for this fight; interestingly, he innately aggros Gundyr a bit more than the player will, so he can definitely help keep the heat off the player throughout the fight.

This is helpful, as Gundyr is quite aggressive.
3. Dancer of the Boreal Valley

Answer: High Wall of Lothric

Otherwise known as the 'fleeting dancer', this boss fight is generally quite challenging and will test the player's ability to dodge strong attacks, but not be so wired up on dodging that they fail to pose an offensive threat. Technically, if Vordt of the Boreal Valley has not been defeated, Sabre Lord Swordmaster is a possible NPC Summon to help for this fight.

However, he is an extremely weak option for this fight, as he has only been optimized to help fight the far lower-levelled Vordt, and will die in around two hits to the Dancer, while also granting her a 50% HP buff.

As such, flying solo is recommended heavily for this fight.
4. Pontiff Sulyvahn

Answer: Irithyl of the Boreal Valley

A tricky boss in his own right, the key to defeating Sulyvahn is to not let his illusory forme run rampant on the player. The illusory forme can be slain in just a few hits and shows up once Sulyvahn hits roughly half his health. Anri of Astora, Londor Pale Shade and/or Sirris of the Sunless Realms could be possible NPC Summons depending on how the player has played the game, so the player could utilize one or multiple of these allies to help take some of the heat off of them.
5. The Abyss Watchers

Answer: Farron Keep

The first of the Lords of Cinder that the player fights, the Abyss Watchers are prone to being staggered, parried or back-stabbed, but fending off more than a single boss enemy at once is clearly its own challenge. Fortunately, Londor Pale Shade and Black Hand Gotthard are available NPC Summons for this fight, so the player has the option of improving their numbers situation in this fight.
6. Aldrich, Devourer of Gods

Answer: Anor Londo

Aldrich is either the second or third Lord of Cinder the player will encounter. Aldrich has noticeably less health than most other bosses, but makes up for this with a ton of firepower. There are no NPC summons for this fight, so barring a real life friend, the player must fight this boss by themselves.
7. Yhorm the Giant

Answer: Profaned Capital

Yhorm is either the second or third Lord of Cinder the player will encounter. Technically, the player does not have any NPC Summons available to them for this encounter. However, if they have completed Siegward of Catarina's questline, he will rush in, uninvited, and help the player fight Yhorm as he wields his own Storm Ruler.
8. Lorian, Elder Prince and Lothric, Younger Prince

Answer: Grand Archives

The fourth and final Lords of Cinder fought, Lorian will confront the player by himself at first. Once his HP is depleted, Lothric will appear, revive his brother, then enter the fray as he pelts the player with various spells at his disposal, generally Crystal Soul Spear and Homing Crystal Soulmass. Sirris of the Sunless Realms and Orbeck of Vinheim are available NPC summons for this boss fight.
9. Soul of Cinder

Answer: Kiln of the First Flame

The final boss of the base game, Soul of Cinder is a boss with a wide variety of talents; he can use spears, his Firelink Greatsword, spells, a bow and arrow and more. The player must have completed Yuria of Londor's questline in order to have any NPC summons for this fight. If they have, then her and Londor Pale Shade will be available NPC Summons for this fight.
10. Sister Friede and Father Ariandel

Answer: The Painted World of Ariandel

One of the harder fights in the game, Friede's weakness to staggering and backstabbing may give off the impression that she is frail and weak. Nevertheless, she is extremely fast, her attacks are hard to dodge, and Father Ariandel's aid in reviving her twice and joining the fight after reviving her once make this fight quite cumbersome and difficult to outlast. Slave Knight Gael is a helpful NPC summon here, though he will only join the fight after Friede has been defeated the first time; he enters the area once Father Ariandel does, should the player have prompted him to do so before entering the boss battle.
11. Demon Prince

Answer: Dreg Heaps

The Demon Prince boss fight begins with the demon split into two, with both the Demon From Below and Demon in Pain being its two halves. Once both are defeated, the last one to be slain will essentially evolve into the Demon Prince, who is remarkably tanky. Slave Knight Gael is an extremely useful NPC Summon for this fight, able to hold off one of the Demon's two halves while the player deals with the other, helping them to conserve healing resources for fighting the real deal.
12. Darkeater Midir

Answer: The Ringed City

Rightfully known as the hardest boss in the game, Midir is a true test of the player's mettle. Uniquely, he has an adaptive AI, so he will be able to essentially come up with a counter strategy to the player's plan of attack. Midir can also kill even the bulkiest of character in no more than three clean hits, and many of his harder hitting attacks can be tough to dodge. Additionally, he takes half base damage to anywhere other than his head, essentially forcing the player to confront the mighty abyssal dragon head on. Shira, Knight of Filianore is a possible NPC Summon for this fight.

However, her damage output is underwhelming and her tendency to attack Midir with Lightning Arrow from a long distance away can prompt him to use his deadlier attacks, namely his laser attacks, more often. Thus, it is usually a better idea to ignore NPC Summons for this one.
13. Slave Knight Gael

Answer: Filianore's Rest

After defeating the Halflight Spear of the Church and interacting with the statue of Filianore, the Ringed City - and seemingly the entire universe - will get blasted to smithereens. Slave Knight Gael is seemingly 'killed' in the process, becomes hollow, demands the player's character's soul, becomes outraged when denied, then attacks with skills and abilities well beyond what he has proven capable of.

There are no possible NPC Summons for this fight - the player must end off the DLC, and the entire game, by themselves, or only with the help of another player.
14. Halflight Spear of the Church

Answer: Church of Filianore

This is well-known as the only boss fight in the game where the boss themselves is another real life player! The real player that the game summons cannot use Estus Flasks to heal, though that is a fair price to pay for the benefits they receive - they have vastly increased poise, will receive a helper cleric every thirty seconds who could potentially heal them, have their health increased by 50% its typical max, and will be granted automatic Homing Crystal Soulmass every ten seconds.

The player initiating the challenge is in for a rough one!
15. Nameless King

Answer: Dragon-Kin Mausoleum

The Nameless King is definitely one of the harder boss fights in the game, though is thankfully entirely optional as he resides in a secret area the player never actually has to access. Though Hawkwood the Deserter can be summoned throughout the area, Hawkwood will immediately use his Black Separation Crystal to leave the player's world as soon as they initiate this boss fight.

As such, there are no possible NPC Summons for this boss fight.
