Many players use a bodyguard with this ability when they are using a starter character, as a better weapon is very useful in the game. The abilities a bodyguard can have are 'Heal', 'Rage', 'Wall', 'Fame', 'Link', 'Hire', 'Item' and 'Find'

Nunchucks are only used in game by the character Ling Tong and not by bodyguards. Bodyguards can use a sword, a spear, a staff, a fan, a bow or a crosbow.

A bodyguard's armor is white if you gain him/her whilst using Lu Bu. In game, however, Lu Bu's army dresses in Purple.

To start, Shui Jing cannot rate a bodyguard as outstanding, so Superior is, as it sounds, the best. Whilst 'S' means known throughout the land, 'A' means known in 3 Kingdoms and 'C' means known only in one kingdom. The best bodyguards are harder to get though, as there is a 0.42% chance you will get a Superior/S bodyguard.

These bodyguards are useful in high difficulty battles as when you are fighting, they can heal you 50 health. Sword and Spear bodyguards can help you with a double mousou.

Although Diao Chan is pictured as Liu Bei's(the Shu leader) lover in Kessen, she was in Lu Bu's and Dong Zhuo's armies. Zuo Ci is a fictional character, but he takes Shu's side in game.

With Zhu Rong or Meng Huo you earn bodyguards with purple armor. You can also earn purple armor by playing as Diao Chan or Dong Zhuo.

Answer: No

For this reason it is recommended that you do not use a bodyguard when fulfilling the criteria to get a 4th weapon. Bodyguards also take experience points when they kill an officer.

Blue is the color of Wei and is worn by most of their characters, and the same can be said for Wu and red. Yuan Shao's armies normally dress in yellow, and Zhang Jiao commands the Yellow Turbans.
