Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which character can be used in the most chapters out of the 37 that are in the game?

Answer: Ilyana

Ilyana has the most playability because she joins the Dawn Brigade in part 1 and later the Greil Mercenaries in part 3. She can be used in as many as 20 chapters out of the 37 in the game. Sothe is a member of the Dawn Brigade as well and is playable in 14 chapters. Haar is available for 15 chapters and Brom in 14, as both can be used in parts 2, 3 and 4.
2. After chapter 1-5, "The Lost Heir", who is not one of the three characters to join your party?

Answer: Tormod

Zihark, Jill and Tauroneo all join with the Dawn Brigade, reuniting with their old friend Sothe. Tormod meets up with the gang 2 chapters later, along with his laguz friends Muarim and Vika.
3. When Micaiah is alone in the woods and attacked by Jarod, who comes to her aid?

Answer: Black Knight

Micaiah wanders off by herself into the dark woods and is assaulted by enemy soldiers, when Ike's former enemy comes to help her. The Black Knight remains an enigmatic figure, although much more is learned about his past later in the game. He is actually Zelgius, commander of Begnion's army. The Black Knight is ordered by Sephiran, one of Micaiah's ancestors, to guard Micaiah.
4. How many sets of siblings are in the game?

Answer: 7

These include Ike & Mist; Oscar, Boyd & Rolf; Reyson, Leanne & Rafiel; Micaiah & Sanaki; Marcia & Makalov; Lethe & Lyre; and Geoffrey & Lucia. Micaiah and Sanaki are unaware of their relationship until the end of the game, as Micaiah was not raised by her parents. Rafiel, Leanne, Sanaki and Lyre were not playable in "Path of Radiance".
5. Which sword user carries the blade Caladbolg?

Answer: Edward

Edward is one of 4 potential Trueblades in this game, along with Mia, Stefan and Zihark. Unlike the others, he is a new character in "Radiant Dawn" and is a member of the Dawn Brigade. Caladbolg is a sword from Irish mythology, and appears in several other games including Final Fantasy X.
6. Which boss from "Path of Radiance" is not a playable character in "Radiant Dawn"?

Answer: Petrine

Petrine was killed during "Path of Radiance". Bertram was a mysterious boss near the end of the game who was revealed to be Elincia's Uncle Renning. Renning was altered by Izuka's potion that he used for the Feral Ones, but he is cured and becomes a playable character in "Radiant Dawn". Ena is playable in both games, and Oliver is recruitable in "Radiant Dawn". Also, Muarim is both a boss and playable character, as is the Black Knight.
7. Who is the only character, excluding royals, to have a last name given?

Answer: Jill

Jill's last name is Fizzart. In "Radiant Dawn" she remains the only character with a last name. Her father Shiharam was a boss in "Path of Radiance", and she inherited his skills as a Wyvern Rider. She marries Haar if they share an A support by the end of "Radiant Dawn".
8. True or False: Every playable character in "Path of Radiance" is also playable in "Radiant Dawn".

Answer: False

The only character to not return is Largo. He was a berserker in "Path of Radiance" while in "Radiant Dawn" he is married to Calill and has adopted a daughter, Amy. Every other character returns, and there are many new characters, as well as some like Sanaki and Leanne who appeared in "Path of Radiance" but were not playable.
9. Which playable character is not a Branded?

Answer: Sanaki

Despite being Micaiah's sister, Sanaki is not a Branded. Both are descendants of Lehran, and thus are part heron. Soren is the son of Almedha and Ashnard, making him part dragon. Stefan's origins are unknown, but he is strongly hinted to be descended from the ancient lion Soan. The only other playable character who is Branded is the Black Knight.
10. In the end of the game, how many different pairings result in a marriage between characters?

Answer: Six

Those couples include Micaiah & Sothe, Elincia & Geoffrey, Jill & Haar, Astrid & Makalov, Boyd & Mist, and Naesala & Leanne. In order to get this special ending, you must have an A support between the two characters.
