Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "ZOIDs Battle Legends": In "ZOID Battle" mode, in what transport ZOID do you keep your fighting ZOIDs?

Answer: Hover Cargo

If you press Y to turn off the menu and use the C-stick to look around, you see that you are in the rear cargo hold of a Hover Cargo. The C-stick is useful for looking around at your ZOID as well.
2. "Skies of Arcadia": What color Moon Stone does Lawrence use on his sword?

Answer: Red

Lawrence is one of the people you can recruit for the Delphinus's crew. You find him on Pirate Isle. He works as a Helmsman, even though Vyse takes the helm most of the time. The only time you see him attack is when you use the Crew command in battle when your SP is at max. He swings his sword, proclaiming "this is what I'm paid for".
3. "Pokémon Colosseum": In the feudal times, a ninja who had broken the code of the shinobi and left the world of ninja took on a name that is also the name of a Pokémon. This Pokémon, too, is a ninja that has broken away from its former life. What is its name?

Answer: Nukenin

Nukenin, known in English as Shedinja, is created when a Tekkanin (Ninjask) sheds its skin. No, Nukenin is not a nuclear ninja. Tekkanin would mean "violent-tempered ninja", and Tsuchinin would mean "earth ninja" or "hammer ninja" (the former is more likely).
4. "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker": Each of the Triangle Islands have a different hazard when you first arrive at them. Which of these is not one of those hazards?

Answer: Big Octo

One of the Triangle Islands is the location of one of Cyclos' cyclones. If you get too near it without the Arrows, Cyclos will throw you to a random point on the Great Sea. The bomb-spitting Octoroks reside on another one of the Triangle Islands, but are easily evaded.

The Seahats are on the third, and are the most irritating sea-dwelling enemies that you'll find. They'll charge your boat and knock you right out of the water. The only proper way to fight them is from the island itself, where they won't charge you. If you try to attack them from your boat, you might get hit with one while targeting another.
5. "Mario Party 4": What eating utensil does Boo mention when he doesn't steal many coins from someone?

Answer: Spork

Instead of "drat!" or "darn!", he says "spork!". In reality, a spork is a utensil (generally plastic) that is a cross between a spoon and a fork and serves the function of both. Usually, in "Mario Party 4", Boo will only say this if he steals 20 or less coins. If you're the target of Boo's thievery, press the A button rapidly to fend him off.

The faster you press it, the less coins he'll steal. You can't defend against him if he's stealing a Star, though.
6. "Star Fox Adventures": A member of what dinosaur tribe can be found on three of the four floating islands?

Answer: Cloudrunner

One would think that the Sharpclaw tribe can be found on each island, but these common enemies are nowhere to be found in the Walled City or on Dragon Rock. Instead, the Walled City houses the fierce RedEye tribe, and Dragon Rock hosts the thick-skinned FireCrawlers.

But there are Cloudrunners in three of the four islands. On Dragon Rock, you must free a Cloudrunner in order to reach the tower. In the Walled City, a Cloudrunner will fly overhead at regular intervals. And, of course, there are Cloudrunners to be found at the Cloudrunner Fortress.

The Hightops are rarely seen - you only find two throughout your entire adventure (one at Cape Claw, the other on Dragon Rock).
7. "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door": The boat that brings you to Rogueport in the beginning of the game has what type of propeller?

Answer: A wind-up key

Fitting with the storybook theme of the art throughout this game, the boat you arrive in has a wind-up key much like some toys used to have. The way it turns around is interesting as well - it's lifted up, peeled away from the background, flipped around, and put back.
8. "Bloody Roar: Primal Fury": In Xion's cutscene following the Arcade Mode, what does Long tell Xion to do?

Answer: Practice compassion

Long warns Xion that his experiments are pointless and that he may well wipe out the Zoanthrope race, but he never tells Xion to stop. Xion doesn't speak at all during this exchange, but rather not-so-subtly tells Long to stay out of his way by transforming his arm into a blade and pressing it against Long's jugular.
9. "Mario Kart: Double Dash": The racer in the pole position will never get powerful items such as a Star or Thunderbolt. In fact, most characters won't even get their special item if they're leading the pack. Which of these is an exception?

Answer: Donkey Kong/Diddy Kong

When you're in second place or lower, you'll get items to help you get into the lead. When you're in first place, you'll get items to help you STAY in the lead (ie: Bananas and Fake Items). So if your character's special item is more offensive than defensive, chances are you won't get it if you're in or near the front.

Incidentally, each character will mostly get items that are similar to their special - the Kongs will get mostly Bananas, while the Koopas will get a lot of Shells.
10. "Scaler": Which transformation (not counting your original form) can you use to destroy the Spiked Surprise Cocoons?

Answer: Fruzard

The Fruzard can destroy them by either using its three-directional normal attack or target them while in first-person sniper mode. The Bakudan's bomb would also be able to destroy them, but there are no Spiked Cocoons in any level in which you can become a Bakudan (the same is true for the Krock).

The Doozum (my favorite of the transformations) isn't strong enough to destroy them. The only other way to destroy these dangerous Cocoons is to use your Electric Bomb Attack.
