I say it was so wrong JK killed Fred Weasley in the book.

I think that it was really bad to kill off Snape. I mean in the end, at least to me, he really was a good guy. Either that or the death of Hedwig. Now that was tragic.
Or possibly Dobby's death! In the end, most of them were realyl bad for me.

They were all sad, but I have to say, the one that was worst for me was probably Voldemort. This makes no more books for us to read! Unless...

The saddest deaths for me were Hedwig and Dobby, becase they were just out of the blue and you didn't really see it coming.

Albus Dumbledore's death in the sixth book, It was extremely heart-rending. He was my most favorite character in the whole series.

I think Fred's death was very sad because whats Fred and George without Fred! Also i fell sorry for Snape because he was a good guy in the end. Dobby and Hedwig were also sad because they were friends with Harry even though Hedwig couldnt talk!

Sirius's death was very sad for me. He was just beginning to learn how to live again, and found Harry. Dumbledore's did not affect me as much, as Dumbledore was old. But the most emotional death for me was Dobby. The way Harry dug his grave with no magic :( Also Fred's death was painful for all the Weasley family, especailly George.

Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Hedwig, Dobby ... they were all sad! It's strange 'cause I hardly ever cry while reading, and the only time I cried when reading the series was when Dobby died...

A lot of them. Sirius, because Harry finally had a sort of parental figure that he loved, and then...it was just such a sudden and awful death. Dumbledore, because he was Harry's mentor and really wise and just awesome. And, when you read it, it was as if Dumbledore had been betrayed by somebody that he trusted so much. Also Dobby. That was just awful.

Hedwig and Dobby - that was so mean I actually cried. Plus the shock of it.

The worst death was that of Dumbledore. That was as close to crying as I came while reading the Harry Potter books. However, unlike many other fans, I accepted his death rather than come up with ways he might have survived.

Dumbledore got a portrait immediately after his death, a huge huge funeral (interestingly, the only one to get such treatment) and appears later to confirm he is really dead.

Seeing plotholes in the text and questioning what really happened when it isn't spelled out so nicely is a prerogative of the reader. Some writers deliberately leave things open-ended for readers to interpret themselves. Some writers have exploited loopholes in their own stories to change their minds about writing certain characters again after attempts to kill them off in earlier stories. If it isn't set in stone, it's not final. It's open-ended and one interpretation is as valid as any other.
