Lugosi's co-stars included Madge Bellamy, Joseph Cawthorn and Robert Frazer.

The band White Zombie took its name from the film, and scenes from the film have appeared in a few different contemporary movies.

In 2005 he came out with the fourth installment of his 'Dead' series - (Land of the Dead). And, rather appropriately, George A. Romero is nicknamed 'Godfather of all Zombies'.
