Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the classic "Monty Python" sketch about the cheese shop that has no cheese, what two Pythonians have the main parts?

Answer: John Cleese and Michael Palin

Cleese plays the very proper businessman who "came over all peckish." (He got hungry-like.) Michael is the evasive shopkeeper who finally admits he has no cheese at all, that is after John finally threatens to kill him if he doesn't tell the truth. All this with a bunch of stockbrokers dancing to bouzouki music in the background.
2. John Cleese's family name was originally "Cheese".

Answer: True

I believe it was John's father who changed it. Probably got tired of the jokes.
3. In what city will you find the highest concentration of fans who call themselves "Cheeseheads"?

Answer: Green Bay, Wisconsin

They are the devoted, fanatical fans of the Green Bay Packers of the NFL. Their most popular headgear is a big foam rubber wedge of Swiss.
4. Who recorded the hit song "Cheeseburger in Paradise"?

Answer: Jimmy Buffett

Uncle Jimmy himself did this great song dedicated to cheeseburgers and all of us who love them. "Worth every damn bit of sacrifice/To get a cheeseburger in paradise." All the other choices are musicians who have worked with Jimmy.
5. What book with "Cheese" in the title was written by Spencer Johnson and Kenneth A. Blanchard? (Choose the first four words of the title only).

Answer: Who Moved My Cheese?

The rest of the title is "An Amazing Way to Deal with Change in Your Work and in Your Life".
6. Who wrote "I Am the Cheese," a novel for young adults which you may have read in school, about a boy's search for his father?

Answer: Robert Cormier

Cormier's best known work is probably "The Chocolate War." Chances are you read that in school too. Or at least the Cliff's Notes.
7. Which of these cheeses is not properly matched with its country of origin:

Answer: Edam:Germany

Edam comes from Holland. It resembles a ball covered with red wax, sometimes black wax.
8. There is a cheese called "Stinking Bishop".

Answer: True

Of course it's true. Could I possibly make that up? It's a cheese from Gloucestershire, England. It resembles Munster and is rubbed with a local drink called perry, which is made with pears called Stinking Bishops, according to cheese.com. You wouldn't believe how many types of cheeses they have listed on their site.
9. Why are we often told to say "cheese" when having our picture taken?

Answer: Saying "cheese" makes your mouth take the shape of a smile

Of course, asking folks to say "sex" might get an even bigger smile.
10. A man whose first name is Dave has become well known at Mardi Gras in recent years. He wears a costume which looks like a gigantic slice of Swiss cheese. By what name is he best known?

Answer: The Big Cheese
