From the fifteenth anniversary forward, the traditional gifts tend to be pricier in value. In addition, the traditional gifts are no longer given on every anniversary, just on milestone anniversaries.

The thirtieth anniversary is the pearl anniversary. A pearl necklace for a woman or pearl cufflinks for a man would be appropriate. If jewelry is not an option, there are a number of items made from pearl or pearl-like material such as clocks.

The fiftieth anniversary is the gold anniversary. Couples typically exchange expensive gifts made of gold and throw parties with the gold color scheme. Watches, jewelry and other golden items make a perfect gift. Couples who reach this milestone typically refer to themselves as "golden oldies".

The sixtieth anniversary is the diamond anniversary. Diamond rings are the traditional gift on this year. Traditionally, this is the last milestone anniversary a couple will celebrate together. However in the US, the seventy-fifth anniversary is also celebrated with diamonds and the eighty-fifth with moonstone.
