For his role in "Fight Club" Pitt took lessons in Boxing, Grappling and Taekwondo. In addition to these he also attended soap-making classes alongside co-star Edward Norton. This was not the first time Pitt needed to learn new skills for a movie: for his role as Paul Maclean in the 1992 film "A River Runs Through It" he had to learn to cast a fly-fishing rod. He practised this from the top of buildings in Los Angeles but was not always successful as he often hooked himself in the back of his head.

Meat Loaf (1947-2022) was the stage name of the actor and musician Michael Lee Aday. In 1975 he had his first credited acting role in the musical comedy horror film "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". In 1977 he released his debut studio album "Bat Out of Hell" which he wrote in collaboration with composer Jim Steinman> It is one of the best-selling albums of all time having sold over 40 million copies worldwide.

Helena Bonham Carter plays Marla Singer. The narrator meets Marla at several therapy groups and it transpires that she (like him) is also an impostor as she does not suffer from any of the conditions for which the groups are intended. The narrator questions her about this and accuses her of being a negative influence in his attempts to deal with his own problems. They eventually agree to stop going to the same sessions together and between themselves decide who should attend which groups.

English actress Helena Bonham Carter is the great-granddaughter of former United Kingdom Prime Minister Herbert Asquith who led his country from 1908 to 1916. She has appeared in multiple films directed by Tim Burton with whom she was in a relationship from 2001 to 2014. In 2007 she made the first of four appearances in the Harry Potter film series portraying the role of Bellatrix Lestrange.

Anton Yelchin plays Charley Brewster, a teenager living in Las Vegas, Nevada who discovers that his new next-door neighbour is really a vampire.

Between 2004 and 2006 Yelchin had a main role in the Showtime Networks comedy-drama series "Huff" as Byrd Huffstodt, appearing in all twenty-six episodes during the show's two season run.

In 2009 Yelchin appeared in the movie "Star Trek" as Pavel Chekov. This would be a role he would resume in two further films in the franchise series, "Star Trek Into Darkness" (2013) and "Star Trek Beyond" (2016).

Colin Farrell plays Jerry. He is the Brewster's new neighbour and it is revealed that he is a vampire and thought to be responsible for the the disappearance of several students.

Irish actor Farrell's acting career started in the 1990s with his first major role being in the British drama series "Ballykissangel" playing Danny Byrne in eighteen episodes from 1998-1999.

In 2022 he starred in the superhero film "The Batman" as Oswald Cobb AKA The Penguin. This would lead to him reprising the role in the 2024 spin-off television series "The Penguin".

David Tennant plays Peter Vincent. He is a Las Vegas magician who claims to be an expert on vampires. He is contacted by Charley who asks for his help in dealing with Jerry, Peter is sceptical at first and sends him away but does eventually change his mind and agrees to help Charley.

Scottish actor David Tennant appeared as the tenth and fourteenth incarnations of the time-travelling Doctor in the science-fiction television series "Doctor Who". His wife Georgia is the daughter of actor Peter Davison who himself starred in "Doctor Who" also playing the role of the Doctor in his fifth incarnation.

In 1991 Wahlberg formed the hip-hop group Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch. The group had a Billboard Hot 100 number one hit with their debut song "Good Vibrations".

He made his acting debut in the 1994 Penny Marshall film "Renaissance Man" and has gone on to star in films such as "The Perfect Storm" (2000), "Planet of the Apes" (2001) and "The Italian Job" (2003).
