Answer: Pedro

Pedro Sánchez is a transfer student from Juárez, Mexico. He becomes friends with Napoleon when the latter is asked to show him around the school. Although quiet and seeming somewhat shy, Pedro doesn't hesitate to ask out the most popular girl in school, Summer, although she rejects him. He runs for class president. Upset after realising too late that he was supposed to have prepared a skit, Pedro's speech is flat and defeatist, prompting his friend Napoleon to save the campaign by performing a dance as the skit. Although Napoleon is unpopular at school, the dance is a massive hit with the students and Pedro is elected president.

Efren Ramirez was born in 1973 in Los Angeles, California to Salvadoran parents. His role as Pedro is his best-known. He has guest-starred in TV shows including "ER" and "American Dad" and he voices a character in the 2022 animated film "Lightyear". He is also a successful DJ and has played sets worldwide.

Uncle Rico lives in a motorhome and is a middle-aged man who constantly regrets that he did not become an NFL player in his youth. He teams up with his nephew Kip in a get-rich-quick scheme of selling plastic kitchenware door-to-door and things get tense with Napoleon when he finds out that Uncle Rico has been telling embarrassing stories about his nephew to potential clients. At the end of the movie, Rico gets back together with his girlfriend, with whom he had a recent breakup because he was living in the past so much.

Jon Gries was born in 1957. He was nominated for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Male in 2004 for his role as Rico Dynamite. He has starred in TV series such as "Lost" and "Seinfeld" and his film roles include the "Taken" series. As well as acting, he has also directed several music videos.

Summer Wheatley is the stereotypical popular girl, blonde, sporty and pretty. Pedro decides to ask her to the dance by baking her a cake, which he leaves on her doorstep. Of course, Summer and her friends usually pick on the nerds like Napoleon and Pedro and she rejects him. When both Pedro and Summer are running for class president, Pedro makes a piñata of her for the students to hit, getting him in trouble with the school principal! Summer's campaign promises include new soda dispensers in the cafeteria and a cosmetics dispenser in the girls' bathroom.

Haylie Duff was born in Houston, Texas in 1985. She won a Teen Choice Award for her role as Summer Wheatley. Her early roles were guest appearances in TV films and shows, including "Lizzie McGuire", starring her younger sister Hilary. In 2006, she starred in "Hairspray" on Broadway, and her other ventures include a music career and a cooking show.

Deborah "Deb" Bradshaw, although quiet, goes door-to-door selling boondoggle key chains to try to raise money for college. When she knocks on Napoleon's door, he is not receptive and upsets Deb, who flees, leaving her crafts behind. He approaches her in school to return them to her and they begin to become friends. After Pedro is rejected by Summer, he asks Deb to go to the dance with him and they go as friends. Napoleon and Deb fall out when Uncle Rico tries to sell a breast enhancement product and lies to her that Napoleon suggested it but by the end of the film, they make up.

Tina Majorino was born in Los Angeles, California in 1985. As a child actor, she was known for her role as Toni in "Andre" (1994), a girl who befriends a seal of the same name. Later she starred in shows such as "Veronica Mars" and "Grey's Anatomy". She has appeared in several music videos and has a rock band called The AM Project with her brother Kevin.

Kipland "Kip" Dynamite is 32 years old and he and teenager Napoleon live with their grandmother. Kip doesn't have a job although he claims to be training to become a cage fighter. He spends several hours a day on chat rooms although his grandmother pays for the internet per minute! He wants to make money because his girlfriend, LaFawnduh, who he met in a chat room, is coming to visit, so Uncle Rico talks him into joining him on his scheme to sell kitchenware door-to-door.

Aaron Ruell was born in Fresno, California in 1976. While he is not a prolific actor, his other roles include the lead role in "On The Road With Judas" (2007). Two films he wrote and directed premiered at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival ("Everything's Gone Green" and "Mary") and he also works as a director of commercials and as a photographer.

LaFawnduh Lucas is a woman from Detroit who has an online relationship with Kip. She travels to Idaho to meet Kip face-to-face for the first time and gives him an "urban makeover"; he wears a baggy denim jacket, big chains and a durag! She sees Napoleon dancing and gives him a mixtape her cousin made. Near the end of the movie, LaFawnduh and Kip are seen getting on a bus to Michigan and a post-credits scene shows their wedding.

Shondrella Avery was born in Los Angeles, California. Her other roles include a recurring role in TV show "One on One" and supporting roles in movies including "Domino" (2005) and "Déjà vu" (2006). As well as acting, she is a model and comedian, and has worked in various improv groups. She is involved in charity work, including with the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of California, as two of her siblings died from sickle cell anaemia and her mother also has the disease.

Answer: Rex

Napoleon and Kip see an advert on the TV for Rex's class teaching the "Rex Kwon Do Self-Defense System", which promises that they will be able to defend themselves "with the strength of a grizzly, the reflexes of a puma, and the wisdom of a man". Rex is quite a character, wearing sunglasses, a bandana, and trousers with the pattern of the US flag! The Dynamite brothers leave the trial session after discovering that the 8-week program will cost them $300 each. Rex later beats up Uncle Rico after he finds him in his kitchen trying to sell breast-enhancement products to his wife, Starla.

Diedrich Bader was born in Alexandria, Virginia, in 1966. He has starred in many TV shows including "The Drew Carey Project" and "Veep", as well as in movies such as "Office Space" (1999). He has done extensive voice work including several Scooby-Doo and Batman TV films and video games.

Answer: Trisha

Trisha Stevens is friends with popular girl Summer, and Napoleon picks her out of the yearbook photos to ask to be his date for the school dance. He draws a picture of her as a gift and unfortunately it is very unflattering and Trisha is quite horrified! After Uncle Rico tells her mother embarrassing stories about Napoleon in a bid to sell her his kitchenware, Trisha's mother forces her to take Napoleon to the dance out of pity. Trisha very quickly abandons Napoleon at the dance to hang out with her friends instead.

Emily Kennard (also known as Emily Tyndall and now Emily Dunn) was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. Her debut movie role was in "Never Been Kissed" (1999) and her other roles include "White Noise" (2005) and "The Black Phone" (2021). A dancer since early childhood, she has competed in international dance championships, and she has worked in video game design at Disney.

Answer: Don

Don is one of numerous students at the school who try to goad Napoleon but he often gives as good as he gets! He and Napoleon argue after Napoleon knocks his girlfriend Summer over with a ball and Don threatens him but it's Napoleon who ends up hitting Don! Don works hard during the student elections to get votes for Summer and is quite annoyed that Napoleon is going to vote for Pedro instead. Don and Summer are baffled when Napoleon performs dance moves at the student election for Pedro's skit and the whole school loves it!

Trevor Snarr was born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1978. He has had a lot of smaller roles in TV and film, including the TV shows "Yellowstone" and "General Hospital", as well as a prominent role in 2021 movie "The Eden Theory". He has produced two short films.

Answer: Tina

It's never said how or why the Dynamite family acquired their pet llama, Tina. She is a black llama who seems to live tied up in a grassy area behind a fence beside the Dynamite house. There is a famous scene where Tina refuses to eat the food Napoleon is offering her, perhaps because he starts by insulting her! In the script, she was supposed to eat it but actor Jon Heder had to improvise when she refused and instead Napoleon throws ladlefuls of casserole at the animal!

Tina was played by Dolly the llama who belongs to writer and director Jared Hess's mother.
