words like "neat," "sweet," and "petite" were spoken by Ted Cassidy, who played Lurch.

Charles Addams, who created the comic strip on which the TV show was based, loved the theme song.

Various artists have recorded the song. Christina Aguilera covered it for the "Addams Family 2" soundtrack in 2021.

Gerry Goffin and Carole King wrote the song "I'm into Something Good." Earl-Jean was the first to record the song in 1964. Her version reached 42 on the charts. Later that year, Herman's Hermits covered the song as their debut single, and their version reached the top of the charts.

The Herman's Hermits version of the song was featured in the 1988 movie "The Naked Gun."

It has been covered by other artists, including Brian Wilson & Carole King, The Partridge Family, the Cookies (for which Earl-Jean was a member), and Bobby Sherman.
