(a) Drag-and-drop from the right to the left, or (b) click on a right side answer box and then on a left side box to move it.
Please ignore any digits in the choices. If a choice on the right contains numerical digits, its anagram on the left will not contain the digits. For example, if the song "1 Tree Hill" is a choice, only the words "Tree Hill" would form the anagram "Hell Rite" on the left. However, if "One Tree Hill" by U2 is a choice, all the words would form the anagram "The Lonelier" on the left. Ignore any numerical digits in the choices.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Lack Work

Answer: Rock Walk

On (Wed) 17 Aug 2011 (Belinda Carlisle's birthday), the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles inducted The Go-Go's onto the Rock Walk with a plaque inlaid within stone. According to Setlist.fm, The Go-Go's performed at the Greek Theatre 14 times during their 38-year career, to include The Go-Go's video album "Wild at the Greek" which aired on Cinemax on (Wed) 8 Aug 1984.

Speaking of birthdays, Belinda performed on six of her birthdays on 17 Aug 1980, 1984, 2001, 2003, 2011 and 2016; and Jane performed on three on 20 May 1979, 1980 and 2001. Charlotte celebrated on stage on 21 Oct 1980 and 1982 and Gina on 31 Aug 1981 and 1982. Kathy only celebrated once on 7 Jan 1982.

Speaking of celebrations, if The Go-Go's surprised the birthday girl with a cake while on stage, Belinda would have blown out a total of 247 candles on her six cakes, Jane 86 candles on three cakes, Charlotte 56 candles, Gina 49 and Kathy's one cake would have held 23 candles. Happy birthday, dear Go-Go's, happy birthday to you!
2. Lost Hawk

Answer: Talk Show

The Go-Go's released their third studio album "Talk Show" on (Mon) 19 Mar 1984 with ten songs, to include their three chart hits "Head over Heels," "Turn to You" and "Yes or No."

"Talk Show" ranked on the music charts for 32 weeks from 7 Apr to 16 Nov 1984 peaking at number 18 on the US Billboard 200 and number 64 on the Canada RPM 100 Albums.

Of the 150 Go-Go's lingos in this series of quizzes, "Talk Show" is the eighth of nine with no repeating letters.
3. With Snot

Answer: This Town

Jane Wiedlin and Charlotte Caffey co-wrote the song "This Town" on the album "Beauty and the Beat" in 1981.

According to Charlotte's interview with Songfacts, "This Town" is about "the time of our lives back in Hollywood in that little punk scene" (Wiser. 2010).

"This Town" and "This Old Feeling" are the only Go-Go's songs with "this" in the title.
4. Rye Soon

Answer: Yes or No

Jane Wiedlin, Ron Mael and Russell Mael co-wrote the song "Yes or No" on the album "Talk Show" in 1984.

"Yes or No" ranked on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for three weeks from 22 Sep to 12 Oct 1984 peaking at number 84.

If you reverse the letters in "Yes or No," it would spell "on rosey." Although The Go-Go's didn't write "on rosey" in any lyrics, The Go-Go's did write "roses" in the song "Beautiful" with the phrase "my life has been a bed of roses." According to Discogs, Ray Sanders released the song "Blame It on Rosey" in 1970 and Jerry Lee Surber released "Come on Rosey" in 2007.
5. Leek Crumb

Answer: Clem Burke

While Gina Schock was recovering after hand surgery in 2021, Blondie's drummer, Clem Burke, sat in on drums for seven shows. Clem's first show was at the Whisky a Go Go on (Tue) 14 Dec 2021 to help The Go-Go's celebrate their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and then the subsequent six shows of The Go-Go's West Coast Tour from 24 to 31 Mar 2022.

In addition to The Go-Go's, Clem also drummed for Kathy Valentine on The Delphines' self-titled album in 1996 as well as on Kathy's solo album "Light Years" in 2005.
6. Rig Across

Answer: Craig Ross

Craig Ross co-wrote the song "Vision of Nowness" with Kathy Valentine on the album "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.

After Kathy introduced Craig to Lenny Kravitz at a pool hall in Los Angeles during 1991, Craig and Lenny began their musical partnership. Of the 120 songs on nine of Lenny's albums, Craig co-wrote 31 (26%) and 16 (13%) ranked on 44 music charts in ten countries, including Lenny's number one hit "Are You Gonna Go My Way."

According to Music VF, Craig Ross also co-wrote chart hits with Angie Stone's "Life Story" (2000), Baxter Dury's "Oscar Brown EP" (2001), Chris Willis' "Too Much in Love" (2011) and Ultra Naté's number one hit on Billboard Hot Dance Club Play "Desire" (2000).
7. Sole Blond

Answer: Don Bolles

Don Bolles, aka Jimmy Giorsetti, co-wrote the song "London Boys" with Jane Wiedlin on the album "Return to the Valley of The Go-Go's" in 1994.

"London Boys" is Jane's first song from 1978 while Don was the drummer for the punk band Germs. Don would later perform with many bands, such as Nervous Gender, 45 Grave, Celebrity Skin, Heavy Metal Frogs, Kray-Zee Homicide, Liars and the Exterminators, and from many genres, such as punk rock, horror punk, hard rock, gothic rock and death rock.
8. Hornet Heat

Answer: Heatherton

Heatherton co-wrote the song "Apology" with Kathy Valentine on the album "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.

According to The Proper Guide to Life blogspot, "She [Heatherton] was in a band, their first batch of songs were produced by Kathy Valentine of The Go-Go's. Heatherton [later] brought a song called "Train" to the studio. Kathy loved the melody and the song and asked Heatherton if she could rework the song for the Go-Go's upcoming album. Heatherton was honored and of course let her use the song [retitled "Apology"]" (Jimbo, 2009).
9. No Raw Acid

Answer: Icon Award

On (Fri) 22 Jan 2021, the Women's International Music Network presents The Go-Go's with the Icon Award during the ninth annual She Rocks Awards.

Exactly 39 years earlier on (Fri) 22 Jan 1982, The Go-Go's were performing at Madison Square Garden in New York City for the 77th show of their Beautify America Tour to promote their debut album "Beauty and the Beat."

She Rocks is an annual honor to recognize outstanding women in the music industry, and other honorees of the Icon Award are Mary Peavey (2013), Sheila E. (2014), The Bangles (2015), Jennifer Batten (2016), Lita Ford (2017), Melissa Etheridge (2018), Terri Nunn (2019), Suzi Quatro (2020), Mary J. Blige (2022) and Judy Collins (2023).

These iconic women shocked our world with their outstanding talent so it's not shocking "shockers" is an anagram of She Rocks!
10. An All Lad

Answer: La La Land

Charlotte Caffey and Kathy Valentine co-wrote the song "La La Land" on the album "God Bless The Go-Go's" in 2001.

Although The Go-Go's didn't write the word "la" in any other song title, The Go-Go's did write "la" in the song "Kissing Asphalt" with the phrase "manic senses overloaded...frantic fun day a la moded."

At 16 letters, "Lalalalalalaland" is the longest word in the lyrics of The Go-Go's 61 original songs and the letters A and L are 88% of its seven syllables.

At only two letters, you cannot spell "la" with the letters in each of The Go-Go's names because Regina Ann Schock doesn't contain an L. However, at four letters, the longest words in The Go-Go's lyrics you can spell with each name are "near" in the songs "He's so Strange" and "Talking Myself Down" and "rain" in "Forget That Day."

At five letters, the longest dictionary words you can spell with each name are "anear" (to come near to), "arena" and "naira" (monetary unit of Nigeria). The shortest distance The Go-Go's performed to Nigeria is 3,755 miles at the Rolling Stone in Milan, Italy on (Fri) 5 Nov 1982.
