Answer: Alex Lloyd - "Amazing"

"Amazing" was the second single from Alex Lloyd's album "Watching Angels Mend". It was his first top 50 hit in Australia and it went to number one in New Zealand.
2. Which song was voted in at number 100?

Answer: Endorphin - "Sex and Violence"

"Sex and Violence" is Endorphin's first ever entry into the Hottest 100, making number 100.
The Strokes - "My Friend" made number 75.
Groove Armada - "Knives Out" made number 74.
Crazy Town - "Butterfly" made number 81.
3. Which artist that made the top ten in the previous year also made the top ten in the 2001 countdown?

Answer: The Avalanches

The Avalanches made number eight in the 2001 countdown with "Since I Left You". They previously made number six in the 2000 countdown with "Frontier Psychiatrist". Both songs are from their debut album "Since I Left You".

Australian band You Am I achieved this feat. They made numbers 56 and 57 with "Kick a Hole in the Sky" and "Get Up".

There were two French entries in the countdown, with Daft Punk and The Superman Lovers making numbers 61 and 84 respectively. Rammstein achieved the only German entry, with "Links 2-3-4" making number 70. U2 were the only Irish artist in the countdown, with "Elevation" making number 40.
