Answer: San Francisco, CA

San Francisco was the destination in the first line of the song. In many interviews, Jimmy gives credit to this song 'saving his life'. (AmericanSongwriter.com)

I call my dad up and said, "I need a loan. ... Am I just dreaming? Should I just come back to Chicago? He said, "I'll give you the loan, you gotta stay put." ... And he said, "Son, don't stop believin'."
3. "House of the Risin' Sun" - Bob Dylan

Answer: New Orleans, LA

Though released many times (Dylan - 1962 , The Animals - 1964), it has much deeper roots in American Music. Some trace to Appalachia during the Civil War. It tells the story of a house in New Orleans where the house in question had 'been the ruin of many a poor boy'.
