Pedro Alvaraz Cabral set off from Portugal in 1498 headed for India. He made a serious error and was slamed to the eastern coast of America in 1500. He claimed the land for Portugal and headed again for India. Here they were slammed to the western coast of Africa. Again they mended their boat and headed for India. This time they landed in India.
