Rugby is a form of football names after the public school in England where the rules and format of the sport were finalized in 1845. Rugby is played with an oblong ball, shaped very similarly to an American or Canadian football. It is most popular in the British Commonwealth nations and divided into two main camps with different rules: Rugby League and Rugby Union.
2. Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a ball and stick sport that has its origins in North American Native tribes. It is a team sport where players carry and toss a lacrosse ball with a lacrosse stick with the aim of scoring goals. A lacrosse stick is a pole with a small net-like appendage at the top used to carry the ball and makes flicking the ball to a teammate much easier.
3. Petanque

Petanque is a French sport of boules, similar to bocce or lawn bowls. The aim of the game is to toss your teams' balls closer to the target ball than your opponents'. However, the target ball can be hit and moved away from its starting position, making the sport a mix of strategic ability and natural skill.
4. Basque pelota

Basque pelota is a Spanish racquet sport very similar to jai alai. Played most often in singles or doubles, players throw a ball against a wall and then use a racket to hit back to the wall and toward their opponents. Basque pelota was briefly an official Olympic sport at the 1900 Olympics in Paris.
5. Decathlon

The decathlon is a sporting event consisting of ten track and field events. While nine of them do not use balls, one does: the shot put. The shot put is a field event where competitors throw a heavy metal ball, called a shot, as far as they can.

Skeleton is a winter sliding sport similar to luge except athletes travel head first instead of feet first down the track. The sport does not use any balls and uses very little equipment other than a sled and protective equipment.

Bo-taoshi is a Japanese team sport with 150 players on each team. The sport is similar to capture the flag where the goal is to capture the other team's pole. There are elements of American football involved such as tackling.

Kabaddi is a traditional Southeast Asian sport similar to tag. The aim of the sport is for players to run out onto the opponent's side of court, tag defenders and then get back to the home side of the court without being stopped via tackling. Near the end of the 20th century, kabaddi grew competitively and is played professionally in stadiums.
10. Floor Exercise (artistic gymnastics)

In artistic gymnastics, the floor exercise does not allow for the use of props. Athletes perform a series of acrobatic, athletic and rhythmic skills, movements and exercise. In the sport of rhythmic gymnastics, one of the apparatuses used is a ball but thar is a different discipline than artistic gymnastics.
