Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is Josh's major?

Answer: Photography

Josh finds his passion and becomes a photography major in "My Best Shot." He displays his photos at the coffeehouse. At first, nobody buys any of them. Then, Sabrina casts a spell that makes someone pay $1000 for a photo of Salem. This inflates Josh's ego to the point where he quits his job at the coffee house.

He then rents a gallery for his photos and has an exhibition for them. People show up, but only for the free snacks. Only one person buys one of his photos out of his own free will (in other words, without being magically influenced).

He then gets his job back at the coffeehouse. Hilda is quick to forgive him because Sabrina had told her the truth about why someone paid $1000 for the photo of Salem. Despite Josh's failure, Sabrina urges him to continue photography because it's his passion and he should not worry about what other people think.

She also tells him that most people fail before they succeed, so he shouldn't give up. Josh continues working at the coffee house but also continues being a photographer, and his career becomes more successful in season six.
2. Who appears in just four episodes in season five?

Answer: Harvey

Harvey is in every episode from season one through season four. When "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" moved from ABC to WB, most of the high school characters were removed from the show. These characters include Mr. Kraft, Ms. Quick, Gordie, Dreama, and Brad.

Other characters, such as Libby, Valerie, and Jenny, were off the show even before that and did not return in season five. Initially, the character of Harvey was also removed. This upset a lot of long-time fans of the show and there was a petition to bring him back. Eventually, he was brought back.

He briefly appears in "Making the Grade," although he does not do any talking in the episode. He later appears in "Beach Blanket Bizarro," "Do You See What I See?" and "Finally." He appeared in just one scene in each of those episodes but he did some talking in those episodes.

He returned to the show full-time in season six.
3. Who doesn't appear in four episodes in season five?

Answer: Hilda

Most people consider her to be as much of a main character as Sabrina herself. However, she does not appear in "Welcome Traveler," "Lost at C," "Sabrina the Activist," and "Sabrina's Got Spirit." Her absence is explained in each of those episodes. Zelda also does not appear in "Sabrina's Got Spirit," which makes that the first episode without Zelda and the only such episode of the first six seasons.

This also means that "Sabrina's Got Spirit" is the first episode without both of the aunts. In season seven, most of the episodes do not have either of the aunts.

In the first six seasons, this is the only such episode.
4. Who is Sabrina's boyfriend for three episodes in season five?

Answer: Kevin

They meet each other in the school hallway. They seem to be afraid to talk to each other, but Morgan sets up a double date between herself, Josh, Sabrina, and Kevin for Valentine's Day. Sabrina's Valentine's Day date does not go as planned because she spends it fixing the relationship between Josh and Morgan, but Kevin gives her another chance.

Kevin is a guitar player. When he dates Sabrina, he writes songs about her. At first, she loves that. Then, she runs out of ideas for how to inspire him to write songs. To make matters worse, she discovers that Kevin does not listen to a single word that she says. He does not know what her major is or what her favorite author is. This makes her lose interest in her. He regains her interest by reading every article that she wrote and praising her work, and by buying her a copy of "Pride and Prejudice."

His last appearance is in "Beach Blanket Bizarro," the spring break episode. Morgan invites him on the trip despite Sabrina's reluctance to do so, and he enthusiastically says yes. He and Sabrina have some fun on the trip, but he and Sabrina cannot reveal their true feeling toward each other there because Zelda casts a spell on the place that prevents them from doing so. She actually seems to connect better with Josh than with him, anyway.

Their break-up is mentioned in "Sabrina the Activist." We don't see them break up, but we find out that it's one of the causes of the dark cloud over Sabrina's head at the beginning of the episode.
5. Where do Sabrina and her friends go for spring break?

Answer: Florida

Sabrina books a trip at Pelican Cove for herself, Morgan, Miles, Roxie, Josh, and Kevin. Hilda gives her an advance on her paycheck and time off for the trip as a reward for how hard she worked at school and at work. Zelda casts a spell on the place that limits the amount of fun that can be had there. On the trip, Sabrina and Josh discover that they get along better with each other than with their romantic partners at the time.

On the "Today Show" in February 2020, shortly before the world shut down, Soleil Moon Frye (Roxie's actress) said that this was her favorite episode. She also said that she and Melissa Joan Hart have been best friends in real life since childhood.
6. Who goes to Witchright Hall?

Answer: Amanda

Marigold sends her daughter to live with Hilda and Zelda because Amanda is having trouble dealing with her mother's 19th husband (Clearly, Marigold is a terrible mother and wife). Hilda and Zelda do not want her to live with them and Sabrina does not want Amanda to live in her old room. Via mail, they get a videotape from Witchright Hall, a school in the mortal realm that takes in troubled witches, rehabilitates them, and teaches them how to survive in the mortal realm.

They offer Amanda a tour there. Hilda and Zelda send Sabrina to take Amanda on the tour. During the tour, Amanda casts some spells (one spell lights a folder and fire and one spell turns the principal's office into an ice cream place) and sends fellow students some potions to cast some spells.

Despite this, she initially gets rejected because the principal thinks that she is too nice. When she gets rejected, she cries. Sabrina shows the principal a video that shows her live reaction to the news. The principal is surprised because normally, kids cry when they are accepted into Witchright Hall, not when they are rejected.

He changed his mind and he accepted her in the school.
7. In "Sabrina the Activist," who doesn't join the protest?

Answer: Morgan

Sabrina had a literal black cloud over her head which was caused by sadness. It was caused by her break-up with Kevin, her lingering feelings for Harvey and Josh, and her excessive schoolwork. Zelda advises her to do something selfless to get rid of the black cloud. So, she joins a protest and invites all of her friends. As soon as she decides to do this, the black cloud is gone.

An apartment building is going to be destroyed and replaced with a parking lot. All of the tenants in the apartment will be displaced and they have nowhere to go. So they stage a protest. Sabrina joins the protest. Miles, Roxie, and Josh are happy to join the protest with her. They all have different reasons for joining the protest, but they enjoy it just the same. Morgan is simply too selfish to care about the protest. Josh has had it with Morgan's selfishness and he breaks up with her off-screen (good for him).

The protest does not save the building, but the tenants get moved to a new residential building which has everything that they want (washers, dryers, etc.). Sabrina feels that the protest was a failure because the building will still get destroyed. Josh reminded her that the point of the protest wasn't to save the building, but to help the people, and the people are happy with what they got. A senior resident thanks Sabrina and Josh for their involvement in the protest, mistakenly referring to them as boyfriend and girlfriend. Sabrina tells the resident that Josh has a girlfriend, but Josh then tells her that he broke up with Morgan. The senior resident lets Josh know that Sabrina wants to be his girlfriend. Back at the house, Morgan lets Sabrina know that Josh wants to date someone like her.
8. How many full-blooded mortals see the flying car?

Answer: 2

In "Do You See What I See?" Hilda gets a boyfriend who has a flying car. She does not care for the man, but she loves the car. After the first date, she tells Sabrina and Zelda a lot about the car and very little about the man. She breaks up with him when he finds out that his ex-wife will get the car as part of the divorce agreement.

Two mortals see the car: Miles and Harvey. Miles spends his nights on the roof with his telescope, watching the stars. One night, he sees the flying car. He gives a presentation on the car in astronomy class the next day. The only person who believes him is Sabrina. In fact, Sabrina knows for a fact that Miles is telling the truth because he used the exact same words that Hilda used to describe it. His other classmates insult him and laugh at him, and for some reason, they get away with it.

Back at the college house, Sabrina tries to tell Miles that she believes him. However, she is unable to tell Miles that she knows for a fact that he saw the flying car without also revealing that she is a witch (If she just told him that she knows the truth, he might ask "How?" and she is not allowed to say that she's a witch and she cannot come up with a plausible lie). All she does is make Miles feel even worse. He decides to give up paranormal studies and become an accountant.

Miles likes his decision to change his major at first because no one insults him anymore. Sabrina feels bad that she is responsible for making Miles give up what he loves. When she's alone, she gets a crystal ball and she uses it to see Miles' future life as an accountant. When Sabrina sees Miles hide in a closet and scream, she decides she needs to help him.

Sabrina goes to Zelda's house and asks for advice on how to help Miles. When Hilda walks in to tell them that she is going on another date with the owner of the car, Zelda tells Sabrina that "seeing is believing." This gives Sabrina the idea to convince Miles to join her on the rooftop under the guise that he is supposed to help her identify constellations for her astronomy homework.

They see the flying car, and Sabrina lets Miles know that she saw it too. Miles is prepared to tell the class that the flying car is real with Sabrina as a witness by his side. Sabrina tells him that if they do that, everybody will just insult the two of them. Miles is okay with that and says that all that matters is that someone else saw the car, so he knows that he is not crazy. This convinces him to stop studying accounting and return to paranormal studies.

At the end of the episode, Harvey calls the college house (How he got the phone number for that place is never explained, unless we're supposed to assume that she gave him that phone number when they saw each other in Florida) and apologizes to Sabrina for breaking up with her. He mentions the magical things that she did to him. What he doesn't know is that one of those things wasn't her doing (He says that she turned him into a beast, but Sabrina's cousin Suzie is the one who did that) and the rest of those things were accidents. He tells her that despite those things, she was always a good friend and he is sorry he broke up with her. Before hanging up, he tells Sabrina that he sees a Cadillac flying through the sky. Sabrina says "I'm going to kill Aunt Hilda" and the episode ends.
9. When Miles gets a machine from his friend Garth, is that machine capable of detecting witches?

Answer: Yes

When Sabrina looks for something in the kitchen, she casts a spell that makes the microwave float. She gets distracted by the phone ringing. While Sabrina is on the phone, Miles walks in and sees the floating microwave. Sabrina points her finger and stops it from floating. Miles does not see her pointing her finger, but she cannot convince him that she did not see the microwave floating.

The next day at a party at the house, Miles' friend Garth brings a machine that detects paranormal activity. Miles tells Sabrina that he got it because of the floating microwave, but he also tells her that he has noticed other strange things going on in the house. Miles says that this machine can detect witches, and that makes Sabrina nervous.

After the party, Miles searches the entire house with the machine. Eventually, he points the machine at Sabrina and the machine makes a lot of noise. It doesn't make any noise when he points it at anyone else, so they all get nervous about her. Sabrina refuses to tell them that she is a witch, but she is unable to come up with a convincing lie. Miles concludes that there is a paranormal parasite living inside Sabrina. His plan is to get a machine the parasite. He means well, but she fears for her life.

If Sabrina tells her mortal friends that she is a witch, she will be given 12 hours to turn them all into stone. If she does not, the Witches Council removes her from her magic and bans her from the Other Realm and from living in Hilda and Zelda's house. She was absolved from most of this when Harvey found out that she was a witch because he found out on his own. She also would have been absolved if it was Friday the 13th, but apparently it wasn't. So, much of the rest of the episode is Sabrina trying to figure out how to avoid all of that and avoid being killed by the next machine that Miles gets, but still keep her friends.

Sabrina goes to her aunts' house and talks to Salem (the aunts are not home) about this. He tells her to go to the other realm drug store and buy a product that will protect her from the machine. Sabrina does that, sprays the product on herself, and the machine no longer detects anything about her. However, it detects something when she points it at the ceiling.

It turns out that there is a ghost in the house that had been invisible. He makes himself visible and says that his name is Marv. He lived in the house for 30 years and had been dead for 10 years but still stayed there. He'd stayed invisible and no one knew he was there. However, now there's a machine in the house that detects ghosts and witches and Sabrina's roommates want to get rid of the ghosts and witches. Marv does not want her roommates to get rid of him, so he warns her that he is going to make them get rid of her. Sabrina contacts someone who gets rid of ghosts, but he won't help her until after Other Realm Independence Day Weekend is over.

Later, Morgan and Roxie walk into the house, but say they are going to walk right back out when they see Sabrina. Sabrina calms them down by showing that Miles' machine no longer works on her, but their calmness is short-lived. When they give Sabrina her mail, the envelope floats around in the air and moves in odd ways (The invisible ghost is causing this to happen and Sabrina knows that but her roommates don't). Also, the sink turns on by itself and Sabrina's hair instantly grows a lot by itself (or at least that's what it looks like to her roommates). Sabrina comes up with more unconvincing lies in a failed attempt to explain these things.

Later, Miles and Garth bring in a machine that is supposed to destroy the parasite that is living inside Sabrina. The machine seems to inexplicably blow up (actually, the invisible ghost blew it up but Miles and Garth don't know that). Miles and Garth think that Sabrina blew it up. They get more shocked when Sabrina inexplicably changes colors.

Sabrina goes to the coffeehouse and talks to Josh about Marv, saying that Marv is a new roommate. Josh says that Marv has a lot of unresolved issues. Sabrina goes home and talks to Marv about these. He makes himself visible and explains that he no longer sees his wife because he is dead and she is still alive, and she never got the gift that he made for him and left in the attic. Sabrina promises to invite his wife over and give her the gift in exchange for him leaving and never coming back. She does just that. Before he leaves forever, she convinces him to help her convince her roommates that nothing is wrong with her. When Sabrina is not in the house, the cabinet doors in the kitchen suddenly open and close a lot by themselves, the playing cards float around in the air, and Miles floats up in the air and spins around a few times. Marv then leaves.

When Sabrina walks in and sees everyone packing up and preparing to move out, she lies and says that her aunt Zelda explained that a misalignment of the planets caused all of these strange things, and it will all be over soon and then it will never happen again in their lifetimes. Her roommates believe all of this, decide to stay, and welcome Sabrina back as her friend. At the end of the episode, the ghost remover shows up at the door. Miles answers the door and explains that there is no ghost. The machine detects something odd about the ghost remover (because he is a witch who lives in the other realm). Miles thinks that something is wrong with the machine and he puts it in the trash can.
10. In "Finally," who dates six women during the episode?

Answer: Miles

Sabrina and Josh throw a "five-minute date" party at the coffeehouse where men and women aged 18-22 pay five dollars to talk with every opposite-gender person there. They can either exchange phone numbers or move on after five minutes. On the first night, Miles gets a date with Josh's friend Holly. Miles and Holly go to a movie together.

After that, he breaks up with her. At the next "five-minute date" party, there is a band called the Pop Stars that consists of five women. After they are done performing, Miles walks out of the coffee house with all five of the Pop Stars by his side.
