Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The adventure sets Lara Croft on track to locate the Divine Source, an item she determines to be located in which spot around the globe?

Answer: Siberia

Returning home after her time on the island of Yamatai, Lara Croft digs into one of her father's final mysteries, hunting for the whereabouts of 'the Divine Source', a device that allegedly has the power to grant its bearer immortality. She's not the only one hunting for it though.

As she discovers by travelling to Syria on the hunt for its whereabouts, the item was shuttled off to Siberia by Byzantine exiles and, worse, a shadowy organization known as Trinity is also eager to get their hands on it.

It means heading out to the mountains there to raid some tombs.
2. Which of these is not a skill type Lara can level up?

Answer: Builder

Actions undertaken and objectives completed throughout the game will upgrade Lara's experience and allow her to level up periodically, investing Skill Points into one of three trees that grant her further abilities depending on your playstyle. The Brawler category builds into more melee abilities and hardier defence capabilities; the Hunter option contributes to better ranged techniques for the bow and firearms; the Survivor field covers any resource-collecting and miscellany.
3. Lara can level up at Base Camps, represented by which of these?

Answer: A bonfire

There are over forty bonfires found throughout the game, often at convenient juncture points or at the start of regions that bear substantial encounters. While the game auto-saves frequently, these are often good locations at which Lara can take a breather due to their relative safety. Base Camps are necessary for levelling up skills, but also for using resources to create cosmetics and level up inventory bonuses, ammunition, and weapons.

The final function of these bonfires is for fast travel; you can move to any other bonfire in the game at will.
4. At the Supply Shack, you can trade which of these for weapons and upgrades?

Answer: Coins

The only functional currency you can collect in the game is in the form of Byzantine Coins which can be found on their own in stacks around the map or in Coin Caches that can be dug up (much like Survival Caches). These Coins do serve a purpose beyond being a collect-a-thon item though; you can spend them at the Supply Shack near the Communications Tower in the Soviet Installment area to purchase upgrades, weapons, and cosmetics.

There are more Byzantine Coins in the game than you need for this purpose though.
5. Who, of these, betrayed Lara and her father by hunting for the Divine Source for themselves?

Answer: Ana

Ana managed to infiltrate the Croft family quite easily, becoming a close confidante of Lara's father through the years, but it turned out to be means to an end to get her hands on the Divine Source. Alongside her brother, Konstantin, Ana manages to bring Trinity's resources in to converge on the Siberian region in which the Divine Source is expected to be, and while she knows Trinity might be using them both as means to an end, she ultimately needs the Divine Source to avoid dying of her terminal illness.
6. Along the way through the game, Lara can complete a handful of missions given to her by locals. These can be completed in either the Soviet Installation or which other spot?

Answer: Geothermal Valley

There are nine total side-missions that Lara can embark upon and most of them involve aiding the local natives in protecting themselves and their homeland, sometimes by collecting items or constructing items that will reshape the environment a tad. One of these missions is as simple as completing every Tomb in the game and stopping by to share the secret you find. All of these side-missions contribute to experience and rewards and, naturally, game completion percentage (though you can beat the game without completing them).

They are only found in the larger maps, the Soviet Installation and the Geothermal Valley.
7. Which of these is NOT a weapon Lara can wield in this adventure?

Answer: Bow staff

While in Siberia, Lara starts off with climbing axes as her initial objective is to climb the mountains to find the lost city. Along the way she makes a bow to survive and acquires other firearms from the natives and soldiers she encounters (or from finding pieces of weapons in crypts and strongboxes. All of these items-- the climbing axes included-- can be upgraded at Base Camps using resources collected throughout the game.
8. How many optional Tombs can Lara explore in this game?

Answer: Nine

While Tombs are completely optional, they are quite valuable and it would serve you well to locate them, get inside, and complete the puzzles they contain to break into the Codex found at the end; each one of them gives Lara a new passive ability that will increase her skills, fortitude, and capabilities (from shooting more arrows to climbing faster to creating Greek fire). Tombs are often found when Lara digs deeper into caves and tunnels, and many of these are protected by large animals, if that's any hint.
9. Which of these is NOT a language that Lara can level up in her travels in this game?

Answer: Aramaic

Languages are another non-essential for Lara as she explores the different regions of the game but they can absolutely help her in indirect ways. All three available languages (Greek, Mongolian, and Russian) can be tiered up to different degrees to allow her to read Monoliths scattered across the map, and these will point the way to hidden items and caches and help her collecting efforts. And yes, all of these moments of engagement will contribute to Lara's experience and accrue Skill Points for further capability. Greek, Mongolian, and Russian are all relevant languages for the region and, as it is determined, the history of the Divine Source.
10. As Lara discovers, is the Divine Source real?

Answer: Yes

It certainly is, and this goes beyond Jacob simply telling her as much because in the game's conclusion, Lara will take the Divine Source in her hands and smash it on the ground, ending Trinity's hunt for it. Doing this will prevent Ana from gaining immortality, but it will also vanquish the Deathless Guards and let Jacob die in peace. Lara, surviving the adventure in Siberia, will subsequently vow to bring down Trinity for good in her next excursion, if not for the good of humanity, then to avenge her father's death.
