Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Shinbi is unique in that her appearance doesn't give any clues or hints as to the role she plays in this game. Omeda Studios has recommended her for two roles. What is one of them?

Answer: Offlane

Shinbi is rather odd, in that she functions as somewhat of a middle ground between an assassin and a bulky fighter type. Both sides of this conundrum work very well for the Jungle and for the Offlane where she is recommended for use. Shinbi's kit is quite flexible, giving her mobility, the ability to remain in an extended conflict and a little bit of range as well.

Not enough range for the Midlane or the Duo Lane most of the time, but enough to adequately poke at dangerous enemies and try to whittle them down, or to more flexibly take minion waves.
2. Shinbi's stat build, just like her recommended role, is deceptive as per her appearance. What is Shinbi's highest stat?

Answer: Ability Power

Shinbi's stat build is surprisingly strong, featuring power attacks, strong mobility and the ability to take her fair share of damage in return. For a character who typically can't be bothered to actually wear armor much less a full outfit of clothing, Shinbi's stat build is quite formidable.
3. Shinbi's Passive is Biting Melody. It enhances Shinbi's Basic Attacks, then periodically offers a burst to this enhancement. The burst operates on a cooldown that Shinbi can actually tamper with. How does Shinbi reduce the burst offered by Biting Melody?

Answer: Cast an Ability

At base, Biting Melody will always offer a small amount of Magic damage to Shinbi's Basic Attacks. This will remain constant and does not ever turn off or undergo cooldown.

What does have a cooldown is that Shinbi can occasionally do 2.5x the normal amount of damage with a Basic Attack. The cooldown to this burst is initially 20 seconds, but this will gradually decrease as the player builds items which offer Ability Haste. Regardless of their build however, Shinbi can shave three seconds off this cooldown with each Ability cast. The Ability doesn't actually have to land, simply casting it will reduce Biting Melody's burst's cooldown.
4. Rushing Beat is Shinbi's Alternate Ability. When activated, Shinbi will simply perform a dash in a direction of the player's choosing. She can use this multiple times at once before the Ability needs to go on cooldown. How many times can Shinbi use Rushing Beat at once?

Answer: Twice

While most dash manuevers tend to be used as a means to escape or initiate a conflict, Rushing Beat tends to be most useful when thick in the middle of a fight. Though it can be used to escape or initiate, it can also be used to befuddle. Shinbi moves extremely quickly and can also use Rushing Beat to go through an enemy entirely, phasing through them seamlessly. As such, the Shinbi player can use Rushing Beat to dodge attacks or as a means to bait a foe to use an attack in one direction that Shinbi can more easily evade.

When using Rushing Beat to dash through an enemy, they will take a very minor amount of Magic damage.
5. Line Tempo is Shinbi's Primary Ability. Here, she simply beckons one of her wolves and prompts it to run in a straight line, going through targets and damaging everything it touches. What type of damage does this Ability deal?

Answer: Magic

The wolf isn't just an ordinary wolf, it is a "Spirit Wolf" which is a large part of Shinbi's aesthetic. As such, it deals exclusively Magic damage.
6. Circle Rhythm is Shinbi's Secondary Ability. This Ability is utility laden, greatly reducing Rushing Beat's cooldown if it hits an enemy Hero. It also grants Shinbi a very helpful buff for use during close quarters combat. What buff is it?

Answer: Shield

Shinbi will obtain a shield upon casting Circle Rhythm. Additionally, a circle of Spirit Wolves will rush around Shinbi, damaging any enemies who are within melee range.

Aggressive Shinbi players can make the most of this Ability, as they can use it to drastically reduce the cooldown of Rushing Beat to better supplement close quarters play.
7. Shinbi's Ultimate Ability is All-Kill! This Ultimate Ability is well known for nuking health bars like nothing, but it requires a bit of up front legwork first. To optimize this Ultimate's damage output, Shinbi must first apply her exclusive mechanic known as Track to foes. How does Shinbi apply Track?

Answer: Damaging enemies with Abilities

By hitting an enemy with any of Shinbi's Abilities, they will acquire one Track stack. These stacks remain if unused for several seconds before fading away.

All-Kill!'s damage output peaks at eight Track stacks. So, Shinbi must hit anyone she aims to nuke down with eight Abilities before finishing them off. The duration a Track stack will remain in play for will be refreshed if Shinbi stacks another Track stack on top of it, easing the need to hit them eight times within the span of a mere handful of seconds.

This Ultimate wields some serious power at the maximum eight Track stacks. Though it has no Anti-Tank properties, the simple raw damage output at eight Track stacks can easily overwhelm even Steel, the tankiest character in the game. As such, Shinbi can become quite deadly when she has All-Kill! ready to roll
8. All heroes, like Shinbi, have three Hero Augments to choose from. Shinbi's first choice is Showstopper, increasing the Track stacks earned per hit from Rushing Beat. How many Track stacks will Rushing Beat now earn per hit?

Answer: Two

Using both Rushing Beats against an enemy Hero immediately places half the maximum Track stacks on them, which would set them up quite nicely for an All-Kill! follow up shortly afterward.
9. Natural Talent is Shinbi's second Hero Augment. Interestingly, this functions as a scaling Augment where Shinbi can permanently increase her Ability Haste. In what way would Shinbi do this with Natural Talent?

Answer: Killing Camp Leaders

One Camp Leader appears in every wave of minions. If Shinbi kills the Camp Leader, she gains a permanent 0.75 Ability Haste. Minion waves spawn indefinitely, so in theory, Shinbi could use this Augment to continually reduce the cooldown on her Abilities forever and ever.
10. Shinbi's final Hero Augment is Biting Melody, sharing the same name as her Passive. Obviously, this Augment impacts her Passive, but in what way?

Answer: Added Cooldown reduction

The impact of this Augment is simple: an extra one second of cooldown shaved off whenever Shinbi uses an Ability. This will make it easier to rack up Track stacks on foes.
