Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Emote at Homer's workstation

Answer: Nuclear Power Plant

Homer Simpson famously works (if that is what you call it) at Springfield's Nuclear Power Plant alongside his friends, Lenny and Carl, and under the watchful eye of Mr Charles Montgomery Burns. As is heard frequently in the television show, Homer specifically works in Sector 7G.

In 'The Simpsons' x 'Fortnite' - which was available to play throughout November 2025 - there was an accolade ("Work S-M-R-T") that could be obtained by emoting (such as dancing or striking a pose) at Homer's workstation.
2. Release the hounds

Answer: Burns Manor

Mr Burns - apart from the occasional deviation from type - is a miserly, mean-spirited fellow who has all the trappings of wealth but none of the joy of human companionship. This is despite the best efforts of his personal assistant, Waylon Smithers, to make their relationship something more than merely professional.

In 'The Simpsons' x 'Fortnite', a player could make their way to Mr Burns' office and press the big, red button on the oversized desk in order to "release the hounds". This would result in armed guards, dressed as hounds, swarming the estate to attack anybody who shouldn't be at the manor. This was one of the twelve components of the "Hidden Gag" quest.
3. Pick - and eat - tomatoes

Answer: Cletus' Corn Hole

Cletus' Corn Hole was the agricultural sector of the map for 'The Simpsons' x 'Fortnite' season. The main crop being grown was tomatoes, with baskets of the crop spread out around the sector. One of the season's quests required a player to consume tomatoes - which would replenish your vital statistics - and immediately begin to move (ideally sprint). After travelling 500m whilst under the effect of the tomatoes, the quest would be marked as completed.

Cletus Spuckler is the hillbilly character in 'The Simpsons'; in one episode of the show, a song was made about the character in which he was referred to as "Cletus, the slack-jawed yokel!" All in good humour, of course.
4. Sit on the Simpsons' couch

Answer: 742 Evergreen Terrace

Due to it featuring at the conclusion of the opening credits of 'The Simpsons', the scene where the titular characters jump onto the sofa in front of their television set is one of the best known from the show, if not western animation in its entirety. 'Fortnite' players got the chance in this season to jump onto the iconic couch to recreate the scene.

Homer, Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie reside at 742 Evergreen Terrace, with Ned Flanders and family living next door at number 744.
5. Raise a flag

Answer: Kamp Krusty

Raising a flag is a task that has been included in 'Fortnite' in the past but in 'The Simpsons' season, the flag - white background sporting an image of Krusty the Clown - featured in a quest whereby the flag at Kamp Krusty needed to be replaced by one representing Kamp Bart.

This quest is a nod to a 1992 episode of the cartoon in which Bart and Lisa, alongside other notable youngsters from the show, attend Kamp Krusty, a miserable camp that was the site of an uprising by the unhappy campers.
6. Knock head off Jebediah's statue

Answer: Centre of Town Square

Jebediah Springfield is the founder of the town that is home to the Simpson family, and in pride of place at the centre of the town square is a statue erected in his memory. One of the twelve "Hidden Gag" quests in 'The Simpsons' x 'Fortnite' required a player to knock the head off the statue - subsequently wearing the head would protect the player from specific types of damage but would identify the player's location to others.

This quest referenced an episode aired as part of the very first season of the cartoon called 'The Telltale Head', where Bart attempts to impress the town bullies by destroying the statue.
7. Jump over a river in a vehicle

Answer: Springfield Gorge

Making the jump across the Springfield Gorge in a vehicle was a superb 'Hidden Gag' quest that referenced a classic episode of 'The Simpsons' where Bart - seeking daredevil status - sought to jump the gorge using his skateboard. In the animation, Homer intervenes but unintentionally ends up making the attempt himself!

In 'Fortnite', a white ring was placed halfway between the two sides of the Springfield Gorge that indicated the target zone for the jump. I butchered my effort at this crossing - much like Homer did - but still seemed to get the credit for it all the same!
8. Purchase a Super Squishee drink

Answer: Kwik-E-Mart

A squishee is a syrup drink sold at the Kwik-E-Mart, an establishment run by Apu Nahasapeemapetilon ("Thank you! Come again"). In the animation, the beverage is known for being extremely unhealthy, to the point of causing hallucinations for those who dare take a slurp.

Branded as Super Squishee in 'The Simpsons' x 'Fortnite, consumption of the beverage followed by sprinting 250m under its effect constituted one of the "Kickstart" quests. A Super Squishee could be purchased from machines located at Kwik-E-Mart using the standard in-game currency, gold bars.
9. Destroy the statue of Lard Lad

Answer: Donut District

Arguably one of the more obscure tasks set out in this quiz but hopefully Lard Lad led you to the fried goodness that is the donut. In Donut District, a player could find a large statue of Lard Lad holding a giant donut above his head. By damaging the statue, the giant donut would be dislodged causing havoc and destruction around the district.

Lard Lad featured in a Halloween special of 'The Simpsons', 'Treehouse of Horror VI'. The statue - brought to life during a storm - pursued Homer for a donut that our greedy protagonist had stolen from him.
10. Obtain a weather forecast

Answer: KBBL Radio Towers

This particular quest needed to be completed twice. It involved eliminating a pack of three Dober Man guards that could be found loitering around one of the numerous radio towers spread about the map. One of the guards would drop a keycard which could then be used inside the radio tower to obtain a weather forecast. In practical terms, this would afford a player an advanced view of where the next storm circle would be located.

KBBL (102.5 FM) is Springfield's local radio station which, for the most part, transmitted programming from resident DJs, Bill and Marty.
