Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. With the all-new Chaos storyline debuting, we get introduced to a brand new set of protagonists with a new storyline. Our cast of Scarlett Rhodes, Stanton Shaw, Bruno Delacroix and Diego Necalli has come to the Titanic for a very particular reason. Why are they here?

Answer: To steal an ancient artifact

The main goal of this map is to locate and acquire the Sentinel Artifact. This powerful harbor of the Prima Materia chemical is capable of immediately wiping out everyone in a small area and turning them into zombies, among so much else.

Unsurprisingly, the opening cutscene to this map shows the Sentinel being triggered into giving off Prima Materia, infecting the entirety of the ship's occupants except the four protagonists. These occupants, of course, turn into the zombies being fought during gameplay.
2. Treyarch really did their best to deliver an authentic experience of playing zombies on the Titanic; they spared no design expense whatsoever for any reason. This even includes the cameo appearance on this map of the real-life man who captained the Titanic. Who makes a very brief appearance on this map in this regard?

Answer: Edward Smith

During the opening cutscene to this map, the Sentinel Artifact will project Prima Materia all over the ship and infect its occupants with what essentially turns them into zombies. This includes a very brief close up of a character designed to look exactly like the late Edward Smith, who is shown sitting at the ship's steering wheel before turning into a zombie.

Edward Smith does not actually show up in gameplay, but it was still a really nice small detail for Treyarch to include. It goes to show just how hard they tried to make this a strong, quality experience.
3. This map incidentally comes with its own, exclusive Heavy enemy. It was definitely an enemy specifically intended for a ship. What is this enemy debuting on this map?

Answer: Stokers

Stokers are former crew members of the Titanic who were zombified, explaining why they'd never return in a future map on this game. They are much tankier than normal zombies, wield a shovel, and can throw fireballs at the player.

Stokers are covered atop the head and around the neck in coal. If the player breaks this coal, it exposes their weak point. By killing a Stoker when only damaging its weak point, it will drop the Stoker's Key. This can later be used to obtain a free Kraken.
4. A large, disgusting mini boss in the Blightfather makes its debut here. These horrors on stilts take hits like a champ and can easily put players into a terrible situation. Killing them fast would, of course, be ideal. Where is the Blightfather's weak spot?

Answer: Back

On the back of the Blightfather is a huge sac filled with the grime and puss that it uses to attack with. Damaging this sac just a little will cause the Blightfather to quickly stagger, though this stagger does have a cooldown player should be mindful not to try and abuse.

Most of the time, one single usage of the Viper & Dragon Specialist, with gunfire focused on this sac, will kill the Blightfather. Without this specialist, however, killing it could be quite difficult depending on where it spawns.
5. Large portions of this map are completely inaccessible, even if the player has a lot of points. They will be opened automatically once the player accomplishes which of these?

Answer: Acquiring the Sentinel Artifact

The Sentinel Artifact is on the back end of the ship, directly opposite from where players spawn into the game. Making it here and retrieving it is as simple as getting to it and hitting a button, thankfully.
6. Pack-a-Punch appears in four locations on this map. What is one of them?

Answer: Grand Staircase

Pack-a-Punch will, when unlocked, alternate between appearing on the lower Grand Staircase, Cargo Hold, Poop Deck and Turbine Room.
7. Once Pack-a-Punch is acquired, the player is ready to begin this map's notoriously aggravating Easter Egg Main Quest. Step one can begin immediately after PaP is activated, one mechanism around the map changes multiple times. What will players need to interact with here?

Answer: Clocks

There are a total of six clocks on this map. When unlocking Pack-a-Punch, four of them will immediately change the time displayed on them. Players must discern which of the four have new times on them, and these clocks will be used to showcase the location of runes that the player must interact with.

The clocks appear in the Mailroom, Captain's Quarters, the top of the Grand Staircase, the First Class Lounge, the Kitchen and the Third Class lounge.
8. The next step to this Easter Egg Main Quest involves the player playing the part of an electrician, as they must use this map's new Vermin-status enemy to power up some electrical outlets. What is the name of the new Vermin class enemy?

Answer: Catalyst

Catalysts are ordinary zombies, with the important distinction that they will be wielding one of four elements to harass players with.

Water Catalysts will ignore players, instead rushing amongst hordes of zombies to buff their health and damage output with this water. Only under the rare condition of all nearby zombies being buffed will Water catalysts even try to attack players.

Electric Catalysts will get close to the player and attempt to shriek at them, emitting supersonic waves that will massively disorient the player if they hit.

Poison Catalysts damage players standing near them very minimally, but constantly enough to prevent them from regenerating health until the Poison Catalyst is killed.

Finally, Fire Catalysts walk extremely slowly, but when they get close to the player, they will try to explode and deal massive damage to them if it hits.

In order to proceed with this step, players must find electrical outlets emitting a color connected to a particular Catalyst. Players must then wait for the given Catalyst to get close to the electrical outlet before killing them. Worth noting is that Fire Catalysts who explode and kill themselves do not count towards this step, so players must ensure that they get to land the final blow by keeping their distance at all times.
9. The Kraken is this map's Wonder Weapon. It carries the straightforward trait of having four Elemental upgrade variants. Incidentally, one particular variant of the Kraken is actually mandatory to complete one step on this Easter Egg Main Quest. Which Kraken variant is mandatory at some point?

Answer: Poison

The Kraken is an explosive hand cannon Wonder Weapon, functioning as a suped up shotgun of sorts. It has four different elemental variants, which are all answer options to this question. Generally, the Water Kraken is noticeably superior to the other three.

The Jörmungandr's Fang or, the Poison Kraken's name when it is Pack-a-Punched, is needed for this step. The specific function required of it is that a player must take it into the Boiler Room and shoot five blue pipes, causing water to leak out of them. This will put out a fire in this room allowing for continuation of the quest.

Why the Poison variant works, yet the other three do not, is something I can't really explain. It's a shame too, as the Poison version is by far and away the least effective of the four choices at actually killing things. At least it's got them beat at shooting out metallic pipes.
10. After wielding an upgraded Kraken for a quest step, players turn their attention back to the Sentinel Artifact. Where must it now be taken?

Answer: Pack-a-Punch

Wherever Pack-a-Punch happens to be between its four possible spawn points is where the player must take the Sentinel Artifact to.
11. The penultimate step of this Easter Egg Main Quest is arguably the most well known step for a quest in this entire game, infamous for its quirkiness and overall difficulty. Players must interact with a figurine model set. What is this figurine model set depicting?

Answer: The Solar System

This is a highly time sensitive memory game, where players must interact with the model of the solar system to start. Once started, each planet in the solar system will light up in a random order. Once the display is done, the player must go back outside and very quickly locate each of the planets in the sky, before shooting them in the correct order of which they lit up earlier.

This step may sound straightforward on paper, but it is arguably the most irritating and generally difficult steps in the entire game. It is somewhat reminiscent of the bomb step from Gorod Krovi in "Black Ops 3", thankfully without the same lethal consequences for failure, but including a larger quantity of things for players to memorize.

Of course, the local population of zombies are not going to just sit there and let players do this unimpeded. To shoot a planet, the player must look in the sky and first locate it. Doing this obviously means they can't see things around them at the ground level, which could be problematic if a large zombie horde appears.

This step is unforgivingly time sensitive to a pretty strict and maybe even ludicrous degree. While very possible for a solo player to do, this step clearly favors having at least one friend, if not an entire team on hand to help. If on a team, one or two players could focus on planet shooting and memorizing, while the other two watch their backs when zombies appear. Or something to that degree.

Also, it cannot be stressed enough- players are heavily, heavily advised to use semi automatic weapons or slower for this step. Shooting the same planet with a second bullet from a full auto on accident will fail this step and force players to try again next round. Shotguns and most pistols do not have the range to shoot high enough in the sky to hit the planets, so sniper rifles or tactical rifles will have to do. Sadly, the Kraken does not have the range for this, but the Model Essex 07 which is buyable off the wall in the area directly next to the Solar System model, will work very nicely.
12. The last step of this Easter Egg requires players to roam around the ship and destroy huge blocks of ice. It may seem like a simple task even with zombies to harass them, but there is one caveat to this time sensitive step. If players take too long to destroy the blocks, what happens?

Answer: Death

Unlike the infamous bomb step from Gorod Krovi, the ice is entirely map wide and will kill any and everyone on the entire team if this step is failed even once. Unless playing solo or wielding a Talisman granting the user a self revive, this would immediately end the entire match - on the very last step before the boss fight, too.

For this step, weapons which deal a lot of damage in one shot are best to take down the ice. The Kraken is an obvious candidate for the job as the map's Wonder Weapon, but most shotguns, sniper rifles or the Helion Salvo rocket launcher will work well too.
13. It's finally boss time! The 'who' for this boss will be revealed later, but 'what' is the boss?

Answer: A giant floating eyeball

This eye will be later revealed as the Eye of Odin. Throughout the fight, it will be floating over the sea and staring at the player as they fight. Periodically, it will channel and fire a laser beam which will freeze anyone hit by it in place.

Players must deal damage to the eye while confined to four separate parts of the ship. This fight operates in phases. When the player has done enough damage to make it to another phase, they'll be teleported and confined to another part of the Titanic to fight the eye.

During the very last phase of the fight, the eye gains an attack it can use to immediately wipe the entire team out. The telegraph that this move is coming is that the eye will begin to quiver, almost as if excited, and it will begin to gather energy and make a humming sound. The louder the humming, the closer it is to unleashing the attack. Players must interrupt the attack by simply dealing enough damage to stagger the eye. This is most easily achieved with the Helion Salvo launcher; it is highly advised at least one player comes to this boss fight with this weapon, as staggering the eye during this phase with anything else is very difficult. The Kraken will not have the range to hit the boss during this phase, neither will most shotguns or pistols. That said, the King & Country is an explosive akimbo pistol which can reach the boss, and players can start the game with the Welling to later turn it into King & Country via Pack a Punch. King & Country therefore becomes a usable, reliable last resort if the player cannot obtain the Helion Salvo.

The biggest challenge of this fight is dealing with the onslaught of zombies assisting the Eye of Odin. Players will frequently be forced to fight the eye in really close quarters, using very narrow hallways as cover from the eye's attacks. This makes them highly susceptible to being flushed out by the enormous cluster of zombies they'll be attacked with.

Anyone not bringing at least some version of the Kraken to this fight is setting themselves back at a serious disadvantage. The Kraken is well suited to tight, close quarters combat even with large quantities of zombies, as it is a Wonder Weapon. The Water Kraken comes in especially useful, but any version will do nicely. The "optimal" weapon layout for this fight would be having a Water Kraken to deal with zombies, and the Helion Salvo for the boss.
14. Once the boss is defeated, something quite astounding happens to the zombies aboard the Titanic. What happens?

Answer: They turn back into humans

Once the Eye of Odin is slain, a cutscene plays showing the release of Prima Materia, the departure of the chemical reversing the effects of zombieism on the occupants of the ship.

Over the course of fighting the Eye of Odin, the ship will begin to sink. Real-world events where the Titanic sank now play out, and the Chaos Crew is able to narrowly escape the ship on a lifeboat.
15. Upon escaping the Titanic, the Chaos Crew convenes to discuss their next destination. Where do they decide to go?

Answer: Greece

Specifically, the crew plans to venture into Delphi, Greece, as this is where they believe The Order is holding Scarlett's father, Alistair, captive. This is all according to Shaw, who seems to have a firmer understanding of this than the others.
