One of the iconic early levels of the game, 'Piranha Plants on Parade' is a good way to find out how wondrous the Wonder Flowers really are. Although there are clear indications that this level is one that has a certain musicality because of the blocks that create their own songs as Mario and foes walk over them, collecting the Wonder Flower here will kick off a musical number in which several Trottin' Piranha Plants will perform all the way to the Wonder Seed.
2. Rolla Koopa Derby
Answer: Pipe-Rock Plateau
Another level that brings the fun into the Flower Kingdom, 'Rolla Koopa Derby' shows off a group of Koopa Troopas who would rather be rollerskating than protecting some treasures. In this level, Mario has to make his way through speedy foes who won't necessarily be out to get him, but will not slow down for any obstacles in their way, and that includes when Mario may (or may not) need to climb a massive tree to find a hidden Wonder Seed.
3. Condarts Away!
Answer: Fluff-Puff Peaks
Requiring four Wonder Seeds from Fluff-Puff Peaks to access (and pass through), 'Condarts Away!' is a mandatory level for visitors to the game's second World, and here, Mario will encounter one of many new bird foes, the Condart, which will shoot itself in a straight line to attack anything in its sight (and destroy all the blocks between).
The Wonder Flower in this level is quite unique as it will allow Mario to walk in a different dimension, using the walls as the floor to navigate to a Wonder Seed.
4. Jump! Jump! Jump!
Answer: Fluff-Puff Peaks
Although there are a lot of levels in this game where the Wonder Flower component creates a melodic and distinct experience, 'Jump! Jump! Jump!' is a level that insists on your timing to create something tough and memorable. A four-star level in World 2, the challenge here is to get to the end of a lengthy course in fifty seconds while the platforms you need to cross materialize to the beat of the song being played. If you fall, it's no big deal-- there's no way to lose a life here-- but it does mean starting from the beginning every time.
5. An Empty Park?
Answer: Shining Falls
Considered a 'Search Party' level, this short-but-sweet trial puts Mario into what appears to be an empty space, but it will turn into a much busier location once he starts bouncing around. Emerging into a clearing, Mario can hop to find blocks that unveil new platforms, hidden secrets, and even giant rainclouds, and all of these will open up Wow Buds. If he can find five of these, he can collect a Wonder Seed at the top of the course.
6. The Sugarstar Trial: Across the Night Sky
Answer: Shining Falls
Although this level, late in Shining Falls, appears to be a difficult one laden with many enemies as they float around (dangerously) in the night sky, collecting the Wonder Flower near the start of the level makes this one a cake-walk. This time, Mario will be thrown into a star-shower wherein every star he collects extends the timer for the challenge, making Mario nearly invincible for the run of the stage.
This is one of a handful of swift challenges the Master Poplin of the region will put before Mario before he hands over the Royal Seed.
7. Color-Switch Dungeon
Answer: Sunbaked Desert
This level, found atop one of the palace walls in the Sunbaked Desert, requires that Mario navigate busy corridors lined with red and blue conveyor belts and bricks that he can flip between, toggling the working ones or the correct directions with an on/off switch. Additionally, this level sees the appearance of Rift Mario when you locate the Wonder Flower, creating a tense Wonder Effect that'll keep you on the move as you navigate the chambers therein.
8. Secrets of Shova Mansion
Answer: Sunbaked Desert
The only three Wonder Seed course in Sunbaked Desert, 'Secrets of Shova Mansion' relies both on your ability to solve puzzles and your brute strength to get to the end. The level, completed throughout a desert palace, contains numerous doors that you need to pass through.
The catch is that these doors are either inaccessible or unmaterialized until you shove large blocks around the level. Some of the secrets here are so intense that there's even a second Goal Pole.
9. Upshroom Downshroom
Answer: Fungi Mines
If there was ever a doubt about how fungal and how spooky the Fungi Mines were, this early level of World 5 would be the one to cast it aside. Heading into this level you'll find a number of platforms, mostly mushrooms, that raise and lower as you hit green plants along the way.
The Wonder Flower here, found in the back half of the level, will cause a Pumpkin Party to occur, transforming innocuous pumpkins into jack-o-lanterns and making a musical moment as Mario navigates a more tumultuous environment.
10. Light-Switch Mansion
Answer: Fungi Mines
A Ghost-House-esque destination in the early regions of the Fungi Mines, Light-Switch Mansion contains a number of invisible blocks that will either allow Mario to cross otherwise difficult areas or block them entirely, and the ability to see them will be provided by overhead lights toggled by a switch.
The lights are also able to keep Boos at bay (or defeat them entirely), though this isn't completely the case when Mario has to face 'A Night at the Opera' with King Book as part of the level's Wonder Effect.
11. Where the Rrrumbas Rule
Answer: Deep Magma Bog
The first full level you encounter in the depths of Deep Magma Bog, the game's sixth official World, 'Where the Rrrumbas Rule introduces Mario to a lot of what to expect in this subterranean lava lair-- a lot of rocks and a lot of heat. In addition to facing down the robust Rrrumbas, who'll roll their way around the stage to cause havoc and squash Mario (or anything else), Mario can become one of them by finding the Wonder Flower.
This level also contains a hidden exit if you can find it!
12. Hot-Hot Hot!
Answer: Deep Magma Bog
As if the idea of Deep magma Bog didn't already beget stifling heat at every turn, 'Hot-Hot Hot!' gives everything it promises-- it's hot. In this level, Mario has to traverse a number of self-heating blocks, some of which are suspended over lava pits, while Kerpops take advantage of the environment to make themselves more chaotic. Fortunately, Mario can cool things down by tossing jars or using Elephant Mario's ability to shoot water at the offending hazards.
