10. Lily Tomlin (2013)

Actress, singer, writer, producer and comedienne Lily Tomlin started her long and illustrious career as a stand-up comic in the 1960s. She became a household name when she appeared in the comedy sketch show "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" from 1969 to 1973. Among her famous roles on the show were Ernestine, the telephone operator ("one ringy dingy") and little Edith Ann.

She has appeared in films and, in 1985, starred in the one woman show "The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life". After 42 years together, Lily married her long time partner, collaborator, writer, director and producer, Jane Wagner, on New Year's Eve, December 31, 2013.
