(a) Drag-and-drop from the right to the left, or (b) click on a right side answer box and then on a left side box to move it.
Match each colorful location from around entertainment to their larger locale. For example, Emerald City, from The Wizard of Oz, is located in Oz, so you would want to match the two together.

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Golden Wood

Answer: Middle-Earth

"The Golden Wood" is the 'common language' name for Lothlorien, a paradisaic location in JRR Tolkien's Middle-Earth. Lothlorien first appeared in "The Fellowship of the Ring" in 1954, though drawings of the forested area in springtime date back to around 1940 as the "Lord of the Rings" legendarium was being built. Lorien, as it is also known, was beautifully seen by film audiences in 2001 when Samwise and Frodo met Galadriel at this Elven utopia.

Plenty of other colorful places exist in Middle-Earth, including the White Mountains, the White City of Minas Tirith, and even the Silverlode River found in Lothlorien itself!
2. Yellow Submarine

Answer: Pepperland

Our ears first knew of the "Yellow Submarine" when the song was released by the Beatles as a double A-side single to "Eleanor Rigby" in 1966, found on the "Revolver" album. In the lyrics of the song, we learn of a 'land of submarines' that existed below a 'sea of green'. That vague description would be expanded upon in 1968 when the song inspired an animated movie musical of the same name.

It is here where we learn the submarine sits on a pyramid on a hill in the underwater paradise called Pepperland.
3. Black Pearl

Answer: Isla de Muerta

The Black Pearl was first seen in the 2003 film "Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl". Given that The Black Pearl is a mobile location, as it is a ship owned by Captain Jack Sparrow, it is somewhat difficult to place it within a set location.

However, the curse that the film title references is one caused by the Treasure of Cortes, which is rumored to be found on Isla de Muerta. This island plays a central role in the film, and when not at sea, The Black Pearl spends much of its time docked there.
4. Morbius' Red Capitol

Answer: Gallifrey

Morbius was a Time Lord from Gallifrey that first appeared in 1976 as an antagonist to the Fourth Doctor in "Doctor Who". His city of power, the Red Capitol, was not mentioned until 2020, when the short story "Doctor Who and the Time War" was released.

This was intended to be released in 2013, but the television anniversary special was also scheduled; upon its later release the short story became considered a prequel to the television special. The two are quite interconnected, as we learn of the Moment, a vastly powerful weapon that the War Doctor used to destroy Gallifrey and Skaro in the televised anniversary episode "The Day of the Doctor".

In the short story "Doctor WHO and the Time War", we learn it was on the fragments of the Red Capitol where he stood moments before his activation of the Moment.
5. Blackgate Prison

Answer: Gotham City

Many may be more familiar with Arkham Asylum in the Batman franchise, the prison for the criminally insane. Its counterpart is Blackgate Prison, and has held many of the 'sane' criminals. Some of the more known inmates have included Bane, Catwoman, The Penguin, and Deadshot. Even The Joker has been held there prior to being moved to Arkham Asylum.

The first appearance of this penitentiary was in "Detective Comics #629" in 1991, though Batman fans may be more familiar with Bane's liberation of the prison in the 2012 film "The Dark Knight Rises", or the location's pertinence to the 2013 video game "Arkham Origins".
6. Fuchsia City

Answer: Kanto

Fuchsia City was first introduced in 1996 in the games "Pocket Monsters Red" and "Pocket Monsters Green" in Japan. International audiences will recognize these games as "Pokemon Red" and "Blue", released in 1998 along with the special "Pokemon Yellow". Fuchsia City is one of several colorful locales, and the original home of the Safari Zone. Pokemon fans will know that Fuchsia City is the seventh location you come across after beginning your journey in Pallet Town, and all the cities and towns along the way feature other colors, a common feature to Pokemon.

In the Kanto region of generation I, you'll also come across Lavender Town, Vermilion City, and several other colorful places.
7. Amethyst Dojo

Answer: FunTrivia Challenge Tower

As you gain prestige and experience on FunTrivia, you have no doubt found new ways to gain points and awards. Challenges on the FunTrivia Challenge Tower allow you to win badges, mini-badges, and others prizes and goodies. The more you play, the more chances to win become unlocked.

These challenges are based on a tiered system, increasing in difficulty and prestige needed. The first unlockable step on the FunTrivia journey is the Amethyst Dojo. These challenges are helpful for beginners learning more about the site. Further tiers that may be unlocked are also colored gem themed, such as the Emerald Caves and the Ruby Dungeons. Good luck as you continue your journey through the Challenge Tower!
8. Green Acres

Answer: Hooterville

Hooterville was first introduced as a fictional rural setting in 1963 when "Petticoat Junction" first aired. Two years later, Oliver and Lisa Douglas moved in to the community on the sister show "Green Acres". Both shows, as well as "The Beverly Hillbillies" were set in this same fictional universe.

Unfortunately, all three shows suffered the same cancellation fate in late 1970 to early 1971 when the "rural purge" ended many beloved shows to make room for more urban set shows to appeal to more viewers.
9. Blackout Basement

Answer: Kremkroc Industries Inc

Rare introduced us to King K. Rool and his Kremlings in "Donkey Kong Country" (1994). In this SNES classic, Donkey Kong travels up a mountain, through seven worlds and dozens of levels, to ultimately reach the main boss. His fifth stop leading up to the boss' ship Gangplank Galleon is Kremkroc Industries Inc.

Here, the levels are very industrial and show us a glimpse into the production side of King K. Rool and his Kremlings, ending with the lower part of the factories in "Blackout Basement", the final level before you face off against the Boss Dumb Drum.
10. Black Spire Outpost

Answer: Batuu

If you have wished you could visit any of the fictional locations in this quiz, look no further than the Black Spire Outpost on Batuu! Many "Star Wars" fans were delighted in 2019 when Disney opened the "Star Wars" themed area in both Disneyland in California and Disney World (in Disney's Hollywood Studios) in Florida.

The setting of Disney's "Galaxy's Edge" is the Black Spire Outpost on the outer rim planet Batuu. The planet was first mentioned in the 2018 novel "Thrawn: Alliances" and with the success of the story of Thrawn and of Galaxy's Edge, continues to be a key location in stories throughout both canon and legend relating to the Resistance.
