John Mahoney plays Martin Crane, a retired Seattle police officer. Frasier is forced to allow his father to live with him so he can get the care he needs. He also lives with Martin's physiotherapist Daphne (Jane Leeves). Niles, Frasier's brother played by David Hyde Pierce, falls madly in love with Daphne.

Frasier is a psychiatrist by trade and hosts his own radio show on the subject. Listeners call in and Frasier helps them with whatever issue they have. One of the main plotlines throughout the series is the culture clashes between Martin and his two sons.

The two strike up a friendship but Jesse becomes concerned that Willy is unhappy in captivity and vows to free him even though doing so will end their friendship.

The murder of Laura Palmer was an infamous mystery that left America baffled during the first season of "Twin Peaks". There were plenty of clues found but nothing seemed to make any sense.
