Gladys Love Smith, Elvis' mother, was born on April 25, 1912. She met and married Vernon Presley in June 1933. Gladys gave birth to twin baby boys, Jesse Garon, who was still born and Elvis Aron Presley. Gladys, the love of Elvis' life died on August 14, 1958. The cause of death was acute hepatitis.
