Frost gets parental advice from the information uploaded to her robot Bunt before her father was taken from her world. One piece of advice is to never go out. She's happy to follow that advice until her pet, Romes, gets sick and she must venture out to save him.

Gene Autry & The Pinafores recorded "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" written by Johnny Marks and it was released in time for the Christmas season in 1949. The song was a huge hit, and Autry wanted to find another seasonal hit song. "Frosty the Snowman" was written by Walter "Jack" Rollins and Steve Nelson and released on December 14, 1950.

"Frost at Christmas" was created and then rejected by the publisher. Wingfield, a veteran radio play creator, modified the book into a script, "Three Days of Frost".

Emma Frost first appears in "The Dark Phoenix Saga" as a villain, White Queen of the Hellfire Club. She is telepathic and can use her mind to control others.
