1. How does Hermux like his coffee?

Answer: Bitter

Every morning, he went to the nearby coffee shop and bought a doughnut and a coffee. He liked to let the sweetness of the doughnut overrule the bitterness of the coffee.

2. Who was the pesky mouse who ruined his mother's grandfather clock by crimping pennies in the gears?

Answer: Nock Noddem

Nock Noddem made a lot of money selling crimped pennies, but he got in tons of trouble for it! He ended up having to use the money to pay Hermux to fix the clock!

3. Turfip Dandiffer decided (without help) that he and Linka's relationship wasn't working out.

Answer: False

While Hermux, Linka, and Birch were on a mission, Mirrin helped Turfip by introducing him to a few of her single girlfriends and then he dumped Linka. (Most to Hermux's advantage!)

Hermux had been counting down the days until she came home from the day she left. He was also not the first one to read her postcards. Lista Blenwipple always read them and memorized them so she could go to the coffee shop and tell the latest gossip.

We can't be sure, but in the third book in the series, Hermux seemed sure, as he saw the ring in the store window, that he wanted to buy it for her. He pictured it on her hand and he seemed excited. Hopefully he bought it. We'll have to wait and find out!
