Elizabeth I (1533-1603) was the daughter of Henry VIII and his second wife, Anne Boleyn. She became Queen of England following her siblings, Edward VI and Mary I. Her reign lasted for 44 years and it is considered one of the most successful in English history.

Cleopatra VII Philopator (69 BC - 30 BC) was the last queen in the Ptolemaic Kingdom of Egypt. She was a powerful queen, notorious for her battles, alliances and love affairs with the enemy, namely the Romans Julius Caesar and Mark Anthony. After her death, Egypt became a Roman Province.
3. Liliuokalani, last queen of a now-US state in the Pacific Ocean

Liliuokalani (1838-1917), whose original name was Lydia Kamakaeha, was from a noble Hawaiian family. She was educated in the Western way and became the first and last Hawaiian queen after the death of her brother, King Kalakaua. During her reign, Hawaii was annexed by the United States of America.

At the end, she was thrown out the window of her palace by her servants.

She chose Menelaus, king of Sparta, as her husband but betrayed him for Paris, a prince of Troy. All her suitors gathered to launch a ten-year war against Troy and claim her back.

Zenobia (240 AD-274 AD) was a queen of the Palmyrene Empire in the Syrian desert. Under Roman rule, she extended her kingdom from Anatolia to Egypt. During a failed attempt to declare independence from the Romans, she was arrested and exiled to Rome where she died.
9. Catherine the Great, Empress of the largest country in the world

Answer: Russia

Catherine II (1729-1796) was born in Prussia and she was married to Tsar Peter III. After her husband's death she declared herself Empress and ruled Russia for 34 years. Her reign is considered a great one for Russia since she expanded the borders and proceeded with the Westernization of her country.

Queen Marie-Antoinette (1755-1793) was a consort to French king Louis XVI. She was born in Austria and during her husband's reign she was not liked in her adoptive country. She was executed during the "reign of terror" after the French Revolution of 1789.
