Russia is the largest country with 6,602 million square miles. Then comes Canada, with 3,855 million square miles and then the United States with 3,797 million square miles. China has 3,705 million square miles.
2. What is the longest river in the world?

Answer: The Nile

The Nile measures 4,180 miles and it is located in Africa. It flows through several countries; one of them is Egypt. The Amazon, in South America, is considered to be the second longest. It is 4000 miles long. The Amazon also flows through several countries; one of them is Brazil.

The Yangtze is in Asia, flowing through China, and it measures 3,964 miles. The Mississippi is in the United States and it is 3,902 miles long.

English is number one, as it is spoken in 101 countries. Second in line is Arabic; it is spoken in 59 countries. French is third, with 51 countries and Spanish is fourth, being spoken in 31 of them.

The Himalayas are located in Asia. Its highest peak is Mount Everest, the highest mountain in the world. There are other mountain ranges higher than the other three I mention, but, the Andes in South America, the Alps in Europe and the Rockies in the United States, are definitely better known by most people.

Answer: Lake Baikal in Russia

Lake Baikal is 5387 feet deep. This lake is 3,893 feet below sea level. Second deepest is Lake Tanganyika, which is located in four countries, Tanzania, Republic of Congo, Burundi and Zambia. Third in line is the Caspian Sea, which is in Russia, Iran, Turkmenistan Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The fourth deepest is Vostok and it is entirely in Antarctica.
6. In what country are the highest waterfalls?

Answer: Venezuela

The highest waterfalls, Angel Falls, are in Venezuela, a country in South America. They are 2647 feet from the top to the ground.
7. What is the name of the largest waterfalls in the world?

Answer: Iguazu

The Iguazu Falls are located on the border of Brazil and Argentina in South America. Their height is 197-269 feet and their width is 1.7 miles. They are absolutely beautiful.
Victoria Falls are in Africa, Niagara Falls are between Canada and the United States and Yosemite Falls are in the United States.
8. What capital city is the highest above sea level?

Answer: La Paz, in Bolivia

La Paz, the capital of Bolivia, is 11,942 feet above sea level. (Bolivia has two capitals, La Paz and Sucre.) Next in line is Quito, Ecuador, which is 9350 feet above sea level. Then comes Bogota, the capital of Colombia, which is 8,612 feet above sea level. These three countries are in South America. Mexico City, in North America, is over 7350 above sea level.

Answer: Lake Superior

Lake Superior is located between Canada and the United States. It has the greatest surface area, 31,700 square miles. Lake Tanganyika and Lake Victoria are in Africa. Great Bear Lake is located in Canada.
10. What is the name of the largest sand desert in the world?

Answer: Sahara

The Sahara is 3,552 million square miles. It is located in Africa. Second in size is the Arabian Desert, in the Arabian Peninsula, third is the Gobi Desert, located in Mongolia and last, the Kalahari, also in Africa.
