The Electric Eel (electrophorus electricus) is a South American freshwater fish which has organs able to produce 450-600 volts of electricity. Peters' elephantnose fish can be found in Africa, and can make a small charge of about one volt. Though this will not even phase any other fish, it can be used for navigation in murky waters.

Born in Greenock, Scotland James Watt (1736-1819) invented the Letter Copying Press, an early prototype of the photocopier. He also invented the condensor for steam engines and coined the term 'horsepower'. His name can be seen on almost every light bulb pack throughout the world.
