Devolution from the House of Commons gave Scotland its own Parliament after a 1999 Referendum. This was the return of the Scottish Parliament following the merger of the British and Scottish Parliaments in 1707.

Dolly died early in the year 2003. The sheep was created in the Roslin Institute.

They are all courses for the Open golf tournament, but St Andrews is the most well known, as it was where golf was first played in the 14th Century.
